Would love for Sapp to lose his job. Wasn't he also temporarily suspended from the network over a sexual harassment case a year or 2 ago as well? Might have been Dukes, I can't stand either one of them.

Commish had no choice.
You cannnot have coaches (and some shady character surrounding these teams) funding bounties for the express purpose of injuring other players. Not naive. We all know this has been part of the culture in the NFL forever. What's changed the dynamic is the increasing knowledge of longterm brain damage happening to these players because of concussions. What's also different is the Saints lied to the Commish for 3 years.

For anyone to remotely equate Spygate to this case is delusional in their anti-Belichick, anti-Patriot hate.

^ might be off on that. Couldn't find anything about it. I remember the charges for whoever it was were dropped and he returned to the network, but it might not have been Sapp.

Goodell isn't gonna be happy with NFL Network. The player comes to the NFL in confidence and now the NFL's own network has outed the player. Some heads are gonna role.

Also, PFT is reporting that Sapp is wrong and Shockey is not the snitch. Sapp could be fired or sued over this. If Shockey does not get a contract this year he may be bringing Sapp to court.

Perhaps the NFL Network should start employing proper analysts rather than filling shows with old boys looking to have a laugh on National and International television.

NFLPA is going to give Goodell their recommendation. They don't have one yet. Up to two dozen players may be involved I've been hearing.

I would assume Vilma then is gone and probably subsequently released soon after his punishment.

I think there is zero chance Vilma remains in N.O.

Maybe Vilma will be traded back to the Jets where big mouthed thugs belong.

It's been reported that Vilma was the player who laid down $10,000 to get one of his proteges to hurt Favre bad,he may be the leading player of this bounty.

Warren Sapp has never come across to me as a guy that has connections that would be knowledgeable about something like this. Has he ever been the first person to have a scoop based on insider information? On top of that this topic isn't like a trade or a free agent signing which the league office is wanting to leak information so that the NFLN can break the news first.

I'm inclined to not believe Sapp in this instance; I think he's pulling a Tomase.

Yup, that's what he said. I suspect that he doesn't have anyone else to bring in as DC as t this point. Shared responsibility for the DC position is certainly something patriot fans understand. I suspect that the rams will add a lower level coach.

Williams can appeal to return for the 2013 season but there are no guarantees.
