I’m all about it, but I don’t know if Pittsburgh would want to play on a major holiday for the 3rd year in a row.

I’d be shocked if that happens.
According to the scheduled listed here, we do play the Steelers as the late Thanksgiving game. Is listed on both the TNF and SNF schedules as it is technically a SNF game on NBC.

Oh, that was all made up - I thought someone had info. Stupid me - but lot of pointless effort if you ask me.

Yeah. Appreciate his effort, but again, would the NFL really separate the Steelers from their families on a major holiday for the 3rd year in a row? That would seem like a **** move if you ask me.

NFL....**** move....

My list of priorities as it pertains to football:

1-3) Rooting for the Pats, never missing a game.

4) Any gambling interests, but only after the game is no longer in question. I’d much prefer losing a few bucks than seeing a Patriots loss.

5) Fantasy Football—I never played until about 3-4 years ago, but it’s something to follow for those boring TNF and MNF games that I wouldn’t normally care about. Plus, there’s a few bucks involved as an incentive and I’m playing with other guys on one of the “official” pats fans leagues.

As long as you keep those priorities, the casual gambling and fantasy football won’t interfere.
I'd put the percentage of participants who are as level-headed about it as you are at about 0.1 percent. I know people who now only watch the Red Zone channel because of fantasy football -- never full games. The "fantasy" element of fan gaming makes no sense to me as football ostensibly is a team sport, and I HATE the influence it has had on cheapening the pro game overall. The over-emphasis on offense is reflected in rule changes driven by pale wimpy fantasy dweebs because they want to turn this once-great sport into basketball.

I wish they'd just release the damn schedule in the morning instead of making it a "television event" at night. I'm surprised there isn't an official "fantasy announcement special" where millennials are shown being served light beer in loungers while they gaze into their smartphones as fantasy points are awarded. Yes, I'm an angry traditionalist old fart.

Agree on the television event.

Millennials actually like more hoppy beers. That's why micro-breweries are popular with us. So that's what they'll be drinking while they're taking pictures of it on their smart phones and posting it to social media to let everyone know how "rich" and "fulfilling" their lives are and "how much fun" they're having (because, you know, you have to post about it if you're actually enjoying the moment). Meanwhile their baby boomer parents will be at the concession stand of the event complaining to a supervisor because one nacho was more soggy than it should have been.

I’m a Gen Xer, and one of the things I don’t get about milenials is how much importance they give social media. It’s like facebook is more important than their future (career, retirement, etc).

I don't get it either. I have social media, but I'm not very active on it. I'd say I probably go on Instagram (more for funny memes) and use SnapChat the most. I barely touch Facebook nowadays and if it wasn't so hard to delete your account (they make you jump through every hoop possible to do so), I would have deleted it a while ago. I have friends though that are constantly on it, constantly Snapping everything, and basically live through their phones. I don't get it.

That said, older people are almost as bad. Look around you at a restaurant sometime. EVERYONE is on their phones. My girl and I have a no phones policy when we're out to eat.

There is a legit leak for some of GB’s schedule elsewhere in this thread, but we still don’t know when they come to Foxboro.

Kind of surprised nothing has leaked yet. I'd figure by noon we'll have a handful of leaked primetime games and two or 3 links to "ZOMG The REAL schedule I found it!!!!!"

But it does tell us when they don't come to Foxboro.

There is little I get about millennials, but that means I’m old I guess. Our parents probably did not understand us either.

The NFL does not leak!!!!

I would like to get that Green Bay game early in the season. Gonna play a tough schedule i feel this season which is why I hope we stay put and draft players on defense. We need an athletic LB. I want the kid from Boise state. Leighton Vander Esch.

If you think we're bad, watch Gen Z. At least millennials aren't eating Tide Pods and snorting condoms.

They'll probably save Green Bay for sweeps month. So the Pats will likely be playing them in November.
