Supicious timing near the Elliot trial conclusion..

Isn't he being punished twice..? Uhh..

Also extremely shady they already know he won't appeal, looks an awful lot like a back door deal. They most likely discussed this with him before hand.

Wait, Brown is being suspended for 6 more games, they're not adding 5 to his original 1 game suspension? Was he involved in some new DV incident?

Of course, if the league just suspended him for 6 games last year, like their rules say, they would have avoided a lot of headaches (assuming it bothers NFL HQ folks when they mess up and get criticized) in this case and the Elliott one.

Unbelievable. INTEGRITY!

What a pathetic, empty gesture. Next up, suspending Ray Lewis 6 games for his involvement in the events of January, 2000.

Edit: Crap, NashuaPats beat me to the punch with the Ray Lewis joke. Apologies for my unintentional plagiarism. :D

On a positive note, if the NFL is correcting under-punishments from 2016, I guess we can expect an announcement in a month or so that the Steelers will be fined $1 million, their 2018 1st round pick to be taken away and Roethlisberger to be suspended 4 games for deflating footballs.

This has everything to do with the Zeke trials coming up. Let's not kid ourselves, this could be 150 game suspension or 1 game and it wouldn't matter, nobody is hiring Josh Brown. But that would have been the first question out of any unbiased unpaid judge: why did Josh Brown only get one game for actual abuse, while Zeke gets 6 for allegations?

Now Josh has 7 lol...is Josh Brown somehow on his own CBA...?

Brady got punished once for something he didn't do. Makes perfect sense to punish Brown twice for something he did do :D

Idiots look worse than if they did nothing. Nothing obvious there.

Would've been nice if they gave 6 games to KC's Tyreek Hill, who punched and choked his pregnant girlfriend. If Goodell has the power to suspend anyone for any reason, plus wants to make empty gestures about being anti-domestic violence, might as well lay down the hammer for a player who's in the league.
