NFL going after Gronk for his party cruise having gambling

Someone is dialing up Wells right now? Can you say draft pick?

Wait. Doesn't every cruise ship have a gambling casino?

I've been on one cruise and they gambled.

If the ship is in international waters, you can gamble and. unless it states specifically in his contract that he can't gamble in international waters, he didn't do anything wrong.

I may be completely wrong, but I would imagine there's nothing in an NFL player's contract that prohibits gambling, only gambling on SPORTS. I highly doubt a player couldn't go to Foxwoods and play a few rounds of blackjack.

This might be in response to Tony Romo's lawsuit against the NFL.

Gronk’s “booze-cruise” becomes issue in Romo lawsuit

Key items from the link: "The NFL specifically knew about the party cruise and its ties to gambling for more than seven months leading up to the event; yet the NFL took no action to either discipline Rob Gronkowski or prevent the event from taking place.”

After knowing about the cruise months in advance and clearing it, lol.

Also check the replies to the Tweet, someone who was on board took a photo of a sign saying no NFL player/coach can enter the casino under any circumstance.

Waiting for Ted Wells in 3...2...

According to Florio from an older article.

the league’s gambling policy allows players and all other NFL personnel to attend “legally-operated casinos and horse or dog racing tracks” for the purposes of wagering on casino games or races on their own personal time.

The problem arises when players are involved in activities that “can be perceived as constituting affiliation with or endorsement of gambling or gambling-related activities,” and the involvement of players in events held on casino property fall squarely within the prohibition.

You have got to be kidding me. Failure to provide notice.

Ray Rice went to a casino and Goodell didn't do anything about that.

So they can't get Brady off of the field so they go after the next best weapon? If that fails...watch out Jules.
