We've seen what he can do. He blows. Cut your losses now and trade him to the Montreal Allouettes or something and sign Fitzy. Buffalo's a ****-show in the making and Miami's already there. Your Jets are playoff contender with him. Without him you're in rebuilding mode.

Do you want to have something to root for every Sunday or do you want to say wait 'til next year by week 4? Giving Geno the helm means you'll be screaming please God make it end by that point.

That is the typical argument I hear from other Jet fans. I can understand the view, but obviously disagree.

Paying 8+mil for Fitz hurts the team. Even if it results in a better performance this year (which I don't think it would), it'd most definitely hurt the team for upcoming seasons.
