It's funny, everyone had us as the perfect fit for Forte, and supposedly he's not even on the Pat's radar.
That could just as easily mean he's already agreed to a deal here.

From the looks of it though, he may have been beyond the price range from the word go anyway.

You're f***ing kidding me. I heard it on ESPN RADIO! And not only that but my ESPN app alerted me.

I mean unless Uncle Chaps is predicting the future now...

He changed his name to Jay Glazer when he tweeted it out.

that doug martin deal is awful.
35m for a RB??? thank god we have the hoodie running our team!!

the numbers for vernon are also outrageous. i wonder how much von miller will get!!!

ESPN Radio just said "sorry guys, that was a fake account. Nevermind." Seriously????

It's one thing for a poster here to get duped by a fake account, but ESPN can't take the half-second to make sure it's legitimate before blasting it on the airwaves and sending out a notification to everyone with the app??

It's the same thing every year it seems. Other teams pay huge dollars for guys on the first day, and the Pats sit back and wait. Everyone gets in a panic - "all the good players at position X are taken, what are the Pats gonna do? Belichick sucks!"

And then the Pats make a few smart signings, maybe make a trade, get some good players in the draft, and then come January, are playing in the AFC Championship game again.

You realize that you are facing a potential fine and/or ban for supporting the enemy (listening to ESPN radio and even worse having the ESPN app!!!)
Meh, I like ESPN radio. Some of the shows suck but I really enjoy a couple of them. The hosts aren't generally as idiotic as on television IMO. I also like the app - I've tried a few others but didn't really like any of them.

Falcons offering Sanu 7 million a year hahahaha I'm done.

Get Weddle to come here. He wants to play here. Pray a rookie and a JAG can make an impact at WR.

7 million a year for the Bengals third WR.

And people dont realize that skill position players like Marvin Jones will always choose the team where he will not be the third or fourth option even if its the Lions. Similarly I would go crazy if we had signed Jones for anything close to that for a role as third or fourth option (Edelman, Gronk, Dion Lewis..)..

No way... Are you for real?

$ 7M for a WR2 ? maybe amendola doesn't want a pay cut if the market is screwed up

Is there a reason I can't read any of these quoted tweets - it just says loading tweet? Is it ADBLOCK?

I have the same problem! Before I couldn't see embedded tweets at all due to adblock and ghostery, I dealt with that so I could see them finally. But now there's just "loading tweet".

If Sanu gets $7 million a year then Marvin Jones at $8 million is a steal. In reality, both of those deals are totally ridiculous. Edelman is making like $4 million this year.
