Damn it! That's just poor defense. How many times does Atl have to see this stuff before they figure it out and stop standing up instead of attacking both the ball carrier and the 'option'? Did they not watch film of the Green Bay game?

And the choke begins

It's not over yeat, but I'm still going to enjoy it for now.

I fully expected Seattle to come back last week when they were down big, and I expect SF to come back today. But it takes a lot of energy to dig yourself out of a 17 point hole against a playoff caliber team, and it's not easy to overcome.

Lot of football left to be played, but this could be a wild one.

i still love seeing DL realize that the OL is letting them go by, and then they do a complete 180 and run towards the screen

love seeing that every time

"discipline"

Yeah, they sniffed it out and ran after it.

49ers answer there. They know they can be patient now. Looks like they slowed down the Falcons D, and started dictating. Game on.

Was that TD the first pistol play for SF?

Regards,
Chris

Re: NFCCG Game Thread

What a throw under pressure.

That was embarrassing for Baker. Wow.

Good call by you then, regardless of the outcome. I've had Seattle and SF pegged as the 2 best teams in the NFC for months, and I really didn't expect Atlanta to show this much spine. I assume that anything can happen, but Atlanta has surprised me so far in the playoffs.

Thanks, but I'm not doing much dancing just yet. I liked the size of the 3 ATL receivers as long as Ryan had time to throw. Time will tell how it holds up all game long, and that Falcons defense had better learn how to defend the option.

Ryan is playing out of his mind today. If that keeps up, how likely is it he will do it in the SB again? No much IMO

SF defense seems to be on their heels so far all game!

Lamichael James is very elusive. I suggested that the Pats should be concerned about him before the SF game in December, and people on the board scoffed at me because he hadn't gotten much playing time to that point.

Terrible call there on 3rd down.

Momentum starting to shift. Atlanta needs to get a stop here.

If SF gets a TD or FG here, goes into halftime down 17-10 or 17-14 and getting the ball at half, they are in good shape IMO

SF's pass rush must save them because their corners and safeties are being abused right now by ATL's receivers.

spoke to soon. SF finally gets a stop.

Starting but isn't this like the Seattle game, Atlanta slowed and finally got their stuff together to win. Need the get back together to stop SF.

It doesn't seem like SF is doing much blitzig or stunting at the moment. I'd be interested to see how much longer they'll go without bring an extra rusher or two.
