Damn it! That's just poor defense. How many times does Atl have to see this stuff before they figure it out and stop standing up instead of attacking both the ball carrier and the 'option'? Did they not watch film of the Green Bay game?
I fully expected Seattle to come back last week when they were down big, and I expect SF to come back today. But it takes a lot of energy to dig yourself out of a 17 point hole against a playoff caliber team, and it's not easy to overcome.
Lot of football left to be played, but this could be a wild one.
Good call by you then, regardless of the outcome. I've had Seattle and SF pegged as the 2 best teams in the NFC for months, and I really didn't expect Atlanta to show this much spine. I assume that anything can happen, but Atlanta has surprised me so far in the playoffs.
Thanks, but I'm not doing much dancing just yet. I liked the size of the 3 ATL receivers as long as Ryan had time to throw. Time will tell how it holds up all game long, and that Falcons defense had better learn how to defend the option.

Lamichael James is very elusive. I suggested that the Pats should be concerned about him before the SF game in December, and people on the board scoffed at me because he hadn't gotten much playing time to that point.
It doesn't seem like SF is doing much blitzig or stunting at the moment. I'd be interested to see how much longer they'll go without bring an extra rusher or two.
