I know. And he was originally recruited to Virginia Tech as a TE, so it's not like he's a pure conversion project.
4.57 2nd run, BTW.
How was he used in college? I'm interested.

What about Kelly and Armstead?
Who are the other 3 in that rotation?
The problem with the run was never an outside the tackles issue. They were gutting the Pats right up the middle when wilfork and Kelly went down. Hopefully Wilfork, Kelly and Armstead come back at full strength and I think that remedies your worries. Having Donald in there in passing situations is ideal to me and it's not like he has proven to be unreliable in that area. Just not great. That is the kind of depth I want on this team.
Lyerla, Thomas and Henderson all in the 6th round is my guilty pleasure.
We know nothing about Armstead. He's never played a down. Kelly being 33 and returning from an ACL we know nothing of how effective he'll be. I probably should have said players that were on the roster at the end of the year or players that will definitely be on the 2014 roster.
Kyle Fuller is 6' on the nose but has 33" arms :rocker:
Dennard only has 30" arms.
Well I want Kelly, Armstead and Tuitt on the roster next year. That OL would be clearly capable of running a 3-4. But, it's not like they'd be running it all the time because they'll be spending much of the time in sub. The point is that these 3-4 types offer the versatility that someone like a traditional 6'2" 3-tech doesn't.
My latest "guilty pleasure" mock:
- Alex Mack and one of Michael Johnson/Carlos Dunlap in FA, along with Talib re-signed.
- Mallett for 33.
- 33 and 126 to SF for 61, 77 and 94 (Wilfork #75's trade).
29. Aaron Donald, DT
61. Best avaiable TE: ASJ, Niklas or Amaro.
62. Best available defender: Marcus Smith DE/OLB or Bashaud Breeland, CB.
Trade 93 for 102 and 136.
Trade 94 for 104 and 138.
102. Antone Exum, DB, My SS to pair with McCourty.
104. Justin Ellis, NT
136. Cyrus Kouandjio, OL. Assuming he does a free-fall.
138. Logan Thomas, QB/TE
- Trade 6a and 6b for a late 5th.
5c. Tyler Starr (if Breeland at 62) / Aaron Colvin (if Smith at 62).
6 (comp). Moon shot: Chris Boyd.
7. Moon shot: Colt Lyerla.
Last year I was 100% on the boat with this. I wanted Desmond Bryant (6'6" 311#), and Kelly was a good backup option. I was ahead of everyone on the Armstead bandwagon.
This year I want disruptive pressure up the middle. I don't much care what size or flavor it comes in.
Is this where Exum is slated to go now?
I have no idea. He was probably a day 2 prospect before his injuries. He could climb back up that far, but I don't think he's there yet. A number of people have predicted he will be a riser after the Combine, so I didn't feel comfortable mocking him in the 6th round, so I compromised. I thought it was reasonable, for now, but it's just a guess.
Here comes Sammy Watkins ... 4.34, 1.53 10 yard split.

I like Exum as a safety project, but I wouldn't draft a project that high.
Landry with a 4.65. Excelllllent.
Marqise Lee 4.50. Good, go slower on the next go please.
