Next Stop, the Underwear Olympics

To paraphrase Mayock:

"Amaro is not looking as good as I expected."

Meanwhile, other boards are loving what they're seeing from him. The dichotomy is interesting. I wonder if Mayock isn't reading a bit too much into what he's seeing (4.62 v. 4.60, etc...).

Mayock talking about the increased value of interior offensive linemen in the NFL. Says that what Brady and Manning hate most is "flashes of color up the middle", because it disrupts their vision and timing.

Brady saw an awful lot of "flashes of color up the middle" this season. Way too much.

That has been a theme over the past 3 years and why I've wanted them to draft a center... Hoping this will be the year..

Fixed for accuracy.

Tattoos are all about increasing your value in the eyes of people who value tattoos, pretty much fits the definition of weak-minded IMO.

If he got them removed because 'it doesn't matter what others think of me, only what I think of myself' he'd instantly move forward on my draft board.

Tattoos I imagine mean different things to the different people that choose to have them.

Are all people with short haircuts also the definition of weak-mindedness? -Because it could easily be said that they do so to increase their value in the eyes of people that value short haircuts.

And why do we really mow our lawns EVERY week?

Amaro's official 40 was 4.74, Fiedorowicz was 4.76. I'm not mocking Amaro in the first based upon that time. Unless ASJ/Niklas have very good pro days, my dreams of a first round TE are diminishing.

Edit: Having said that, Ertz had a 4.76 last year, Jordan Reed a 4.72 so actually not too bad for Amaro and very good for Fiedorowicz.

I would think you'd look at TEs falling into round 2 as a good thing.

Would people want tattoos if others couldn't see them?

Speaking only for myself, and I have short hear, I would still want it even if I wore a hat non-stop, short hair is easy

I want first round talent and athleticism not later round compromises. But see my edit.

Lyerla had the best broad jump too. I think if we trade back and pick up an additional day three pick, we do need to consider Lyerla. Maybe he does an an undraftable head, but he's got a first round athletic body.

Bitonio had the second best broad jump (9'6") and one of the best 3cones (7.37). Along with his excellent 10 yard split and good vert., he has to be a possibility for us somewhere in that second round.

With only the short shuttle to come, Bitonio's numbers are better than Mankins (1" worse on vertical jump).

Edit: Bitonio beats Mankins by one hundredth of a second on the short shuttle: 4.44. He ticks every box.

My boy having a great day. Cool!

Mayock is saying he could see Clowney dropping out of the top 5 because of the 'non-football' stuff.

Huge day for A.C. Leonard. Putting Tennessee State on the map. I've got to watch this kid now.

For me, Richard Rodgers' slow 40 doesn't really move the needle. He's slow. We already knew that. Its the burst off the line and change of direction that are intriguing about him, not the speed.

Now, if he bombs the agility drills and the 10 yd split looks bad? Then I'll start worrying about his draftability.

And i agree on lyerla. He has to at least be considered on day 3.
He will be drafted just like the honey badger was.

I was impressed with Arthur Lynch, never really liked him much but i will look at some georgia tape again.

@NEPD_Loyko: #Patriots have a formal interview with Wake Forest WR Michael Campanaro tonight and met with him at the Senior Bowl too..

All your small white guys belong to us.

I've been saying for a while he looks like a Pats' lineman. He could be a 5 position player, too.

Agreed. Get him in camp and then decide where he and Connolly best fit at OC and OG. I'm all aboard the Bitonio train.

Some of you guys are getting my hopes up with Lyerla.

Don't tease me...
