Thanks Maineman for your well written bio work.

S0 would you guess RK in his will doesn't leave 25% shares to his 4 sons preventing a palace cup scenario against Jonathan that forces a sale?

IMO the team is a legacy to Myra and her 800 million she brought into the marriage so RK will structure his will that her legacy continues through responsible family ownership.

I remember the days of Sunday Will McDonough NFL columns where he constantly referred to him as Robert "Thanks Myra" Kraft, was there a worthy back story that sparked Will's apparent dislike of RK or was it just being a Parcells supporter?

An Old Steve Martin concert rift on How you can be a millionaire reminds me of RK's life....

How you can own a NFL team, marry a rich girl.

McDonough disliked people who didn't kowtow to him and Parcells. Pretty obvious . You might want to look up how Kraft, as an employee, turned a little box company into a huge multinational business empire, but I'm sure you won't.

It's me, I'm the next owner.
I'd rather it be myself. I have all kinds of fan-centric changes planned. No. 1 is getting rid of that stupid south end zone lounge and putting seats back in, also lowering concessions and parking prices. And Gillette needs to be a more hostile environment for visiting teams.

I never wrote anything stating Kraft's business skills weren't great, built Gillette without much state help is honorable as our his sponsored NFL Israel trips but you can't deny marrying 800 million dollars helped.

Where did you get the 800 million figure, by the way? Since Kraft bought control of Rand Whitney in 1968. Most of Hiatt's money, estimated at 17 million probably came from his son in law. Probably how he had the income to devote much of the rest of his life to philanthropy.

Where did you get 800 million dollars from? Whitney box bought out Hiatt's company E.F. Dodge. He was named President. Then they merged with other small box companies to make Rand Whitney. Kraft bought 50% in a leveraged buyout 1968 and the rest in 1972 which likely made Hiatt more money than he ever had before, as Kraft merged it with his own paper company. 17 million net worth for Hiatt.

This company bought Hiatt's. Whitney box

The 800 million figure came from Will McDonough who mentioned it
in every weekly Kraft attack.

So why would you assume such hostile family dynamics? Yeah it's a popular and common scenario, but not the only one. There are plenty of families that have different family values, like filial loyalty and even love for each other...

I think its better to prepare for the worse sparked by the recent family strife with the Titans.

Maybe I have seen the Godfather too many times and wonder if a brooding brother would attempt to change the family plan.

Oh, so it was hyperbole. McDonough never let facts get in the way of a good story when it came to someone he didn't like. Like anyone who crossed Parcells.

Just a guess, but it seems like Bob may retire as CEO of the Pats and of the Kraft Group when BB and Brady retire. What may or may not happen to the value of the Pats/Kraft Group afterward ... who knows?
Profits from marketing and promotions, merchandizing and sales will skyrocket if ownership chooses sanity - and class, and tradition, and pride, and honor, and not being league and media punching bag - by restoring their real logo and uniforms

Jonathan is the next owner.
The big question is what happens after that?
Will he be astute enough to unload the team near peak value before the NFL craters from CTE, etc. issues?
