I don't get the "nightmare scenario". When BB gets hired by another team, he's going to take over a roster he largely didn't assemble and is good defensive coaching away from competing for a Super Bowl. Just like Brady went to a team that was a QB away. He's not going to be coaching for the Bills. And even if he does (as unlikely as that is), how long is he going to be coaching for? Another 3 maybe 4 years tops..maybe?

It's only a nightmare if you think that the Pats are one or two players away from competing and BB should have kept his job. You've seen the offense this year, Steve. Do you think they're one or two players away?

What I also found disappointing was Bill's statement not mentioning Any of his assistants by name, even the Originals: Ernie, Ivan, Dante, Charlie, Romeo, Pepper... Or of a certain player, whatshisname...
