Neal, Taylor, and Pryor downgraded to out. Panicking now?

Pryor's no starter, unless you want to make some sort of technical point. He's a rusher in sub packages that was forced into the group called "people who can't play Nose when we move Wilfork."

they're being moved around so much, reiss doesn't even list them as tackles or ends, just DL.

Pryor has started 2 games this year, with last week being the most recent start. Neal has been a starter all year. Taylor was the starter before being injured. If you go by recent games, it's 2 starters (Neal, Pryor). If you go by original designation, it's 2 starters (Neal, Taylor). Either way, it's 2 starters.

That's Sean when he is being optimistic...

Yeah your right mo i should have my pom poms out because this team looked so impresive last week against a team that is no where near the talent level of Pitt... Your right we are going to stomp them tom, this d is so dominant, and this offense is like shades of 07... Until Branch gets healthy this team is not moving the ball on anyone.. this running game aint the 78 pats brother...But your right i should think we will club pitt, but then agian im setting my self for low expectations. So what ever happens positive i will be happy..

Come on Sean, be a bit more optimistic.

Will you buy me a pint if we win tomorrow?

i will more than happy buy you a pint if that happens tom, and will enjoyed it even more since we beat a team i cant stand... but Brady being hurt, the d still young and new special teams, its going to be a tough hall for this young bunch...

Taylor would be a starter if healthy IMO, even if he didn't get the most snaps. Pryor is a member of an ensemble cast, playing some nose by default. It's not worth arguing about, the concept of starter, in our D Line our RBs doesn't mean much anyway.

I like Pryor, but Wilfork is a starter, he's not. again, if you wish to make a technical point, be my guest.

Taylor a starter now? To paraphrase Muddy waters, "you can't lose something you ain't never had."

Pittsburgh has lost both starting offensive tackles. Pretty big difference.

Chill out people.

Taylor wasn't going to be the difference in running on the best run D in the league. Pryor is a mediocre player, and thats not a big deal because we have other mediocre players. Neal is the only one that worries me. Lets hope Connolly can play on the right at the same level he's been playing on the left.

and to the guy who was sounding off about how much a mess this team is, are you really afraid of the Colts?

But Chung, perhaps our best defensive player this year, returns.

As I had originally noted, I was trying to "Just to keep the record straight". Between Neal, Taylor and Pryor, it's 2-3 starters out this week, not just 1.

Whatever....

Pryor's a decent rotational player, Taylor hasn't played. Not in any way comparable to losing your starting left tackle.

Right. Losing your starting right guard is meaningless, too. Good call. :bricks:

Let's hope so, I guess he's still officially 50-50.

Chung returning and a healthy, quick Branch will be huge additions.

Just to keep the record straight, Pryor was the starter last week. This is two starters listed as out.
Yeah, true. My brain equates 'guy typically on the field the most' with starter.

Pryor has missed practices all week if I'm not mistaken, so I wasn't expecting him. And with Taylor just now returning to practice, I wasn't expecting him to play until next week either. Neal is the only surprise. While there may be a dropoff from him to Connolly, I do feel better putting Connolly in now than I did back in August.

Whens the last time this team lost two games in a row?

Well... even though he's a huge downgrade from Neal, I guess it's a good thing Connolly got all of that playing experience in Mankins' absense.

Can't wait for next weeks story.
Tuesday:Fred Taylor limited participation in practice toe
Wednesday:Fred Taylor Does not Practice
Thursday:I'm optimistic about playing sunday vs the colts.
Friday:Fred Taylor questionable
Saturday:Fred Taylor ruled out for sunday vs the colts

I read you. I was just nailing the starters thing down to avoid what Ray's decided to do anyway. Oh, well.... stuff happens.

As for Neal/Connolly, it had better be a smooth transition, since the Patriots O-linemen are apparently protecting a gimp this weekend. It should be helpful that Connolly got that series on the right side last week.

I'm sorry, did I accidentally write Neal there somewhere?

No, which was the point. Now, go pick nits about this with someone else.

I'm with you man. If they made the trip, I expect them to play.
