Pats Inactives

Injury report and Sheard's benching makes 5 spots basically fixed:
Gronkowski (I), Hogan (I), Sheard (DNT), Waddle, Foster

Assuming the time has come for Van Noy and Lewis .. and that they need the only other remaining TE Lengel active (although how much he can really contribute is another question) the last two spots could be:
Hamilton and one of Coleman/Rowe. (Id like to see Rowe on the field)

But even here BB had surprise every Sunday ..

49ers are horrific vs the run so either lengel or Fleming should see a decent amount of snaps. Could Fleming be TE2 and waddle active instead of lengel? Doubt it.

I want to see BB start Cyrus Jones at CB. He has the most experience playing against a Chip Kelly offense, and it's aBout time to see if he can play or is it time to add him to the enormous pile of wasted 2nd and 3rd round DB picks.
How does he have the most experience playing against a chip Kelly offense?
I'd love to see him earn more reps but I don't understand your comment.

Fleming and Develin both are probably better #2 TE options at the moment. Grissom had some experience as well and was talked about backing up earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if Lengel is inactive .. the reports from Cincy said he is a suspect run blocker IIRC.

I agree re Cyrus Jones. If he can't get reps vs a Torrey-less 1-8 SF team w Kap at QB......

Id like to see NE contain Kap...hate to see him run around all over the place.

Then what ?

Then (1) we know BB doesn't trust him (2) we know BB doesn't think he can beat SF without going with his A lineup (3) we know BB doesn't care about "trying things out".

Not saying it's a huge problem.

While I was waiting in line at the Tobin Bridge this morning, I couldn't help remembering how relaxed BB seemed to be after the loss on Sunday night -- yes, it was a tough game, two good teams, they made more plays ...

And he was like that with Zo on Patriots All-Access (yes, I know -- looking for deep insight into team-building and strategy from an interview with Zo is like looking to your ten-year-old to explain finance). But contrast that with the loss to Buffalo, where Bill was absolutely FURIOUS (and stayed that way all week).

So I decided that BB might know something I don't and perhaps give it another week or two before jumping.

It will be interesting to see if Dion Lewis gets a decent amount of playing time
