The have a "breaking report" the Pats aren't interesting at trading up or down and are just planning on staying and using their first pick.

So now we have breathless reports that the Pats will trade up, trade down and stay at home in the first round.

I guess the only thing left is passing on the pick altogether to save money. I expect that report at 2 PM.

I'm tired of guessing on what we will do, I am not believing anything anymore. BB himself can say something about what we will do and I will not believe it. 12 hours from now day 1 will be over and we can stop the guessing.

OK, that covers all the bases!

After all this talk, how boring will it be when the Pats take Matthews @ 23?

All LIES! LOL. Believe it when you see it. I've given up guessing their moves. They will move up, only if someone they really like slides. They'll stay put if they have a 1st round rated player avaliable at their pick. They'll trade down if there are none of those players left. It all depends on the flow of the draft and I think that Seattle's pick at #4 is crucial to deciding how the draft turns.

I just hope the Pats hold on to a few of their draft picks so the next

two days aren't a total waste for all of us.

I have a feeling that this report may be more credible than the others. NFP is the best source on the web, in my opinion. I'm more apt to trust them than ESPN or SI.

According to PFT, Adam Schefter is covering the draft for Sprint NFL Mobile Live.

Per Schefter, the Pats aren't trying to move up anymore.

Saw that. Something tells me he means : not looking to move waaaay up, but still looking to go up a few spots if certain player is available.

Prediction : 4 picks in rounds 1 & 2 are going to be moving... they might only pick one of those in the original spot. In fact, BB might go CRAZY and only use the 2nd 3rd rounder at original spot because he's forced to (comp).

GOOD! I honestly wasn't all that thrilled with moving up to the top ten. If they move up, I'd rather they move into 15 to 20 range than way up in the top ten.

you cant say the Pats arent trying to move any more when the draft hasnt even started. A player may became availbale at around the #9 spot that the Pats want. To guess right now is pretty dumb because no one knows, which explains 3 totally different reports.

I think that any draft day trades guesstiments are completely useless until one of the teams involved are actually "on the clock". The Pats know that the Jags #8 slot is goingtobe highly sought after, so they tried to secure it for themsleves, not for any player in particular, but rather more for the trading leverage that the spot will bring.
As of now, all trades will wait until the team is "on the clock" so that the trading team will know exactly who is available.

Stafford is a lock at #1, so until 4:10, the Rams are now "on the clock", and everyone but Stafford is available. I'm sure that their phones are already ringing.......

Pats are trading all their picks through the 4th round for everyones 6th and 7th. We will be picking 60 times in a row on day 2. Thats the new rumor I heard.

Strangely enough, I had a discussion with my brother the other day about how I could probably put together a half-way competitive team if I got to draft 20 - 30 players in rounds 5 - 7. I'll be BB could, too. In fact, as irresponsible and crazy as that seems at first, I think it would be the most amazing thing in the world to watch.

Yes, I'm certifiably crazy today. T-20 minutes!

Might very well be true although the 6th and 7th picks are probably in 2010.
