In all this euphoria of being undefeated and breaking all sorts of records, I am not forgetting those players who made some slanderous and ridiculous comments right after spygate. I am delighted to see us silencing them when we play against them.

Here is what Mr. Strahan had to say:

-----------

Boston Globe, 9/13/07
http://www.boston.com/sports/footbal...f_disapproval/

Giants defensive end Michael Strahan, speaking on a conference call with Wisconsin reporters, had questions regarding the Patriots. "It just makes you wonder how long they've been doing this and did it really help them win some games," he said. "And if they've been doing it in those games that they've won Super Bowls in or playoff [games]. That team has won some big games."

------------

Not that we need any bulletin material for the game, but I do hope the players are aware of this and deal with the Giants just as how treated Mr. Tomilson and Mr. Ward.

Here's to an unblemished record! GO PATS!!

This is just another example of an athlete who was "misquoted". When asked to clarify his remarks, he explained that he was really talking about the Yankees, whose records and championships on steroids come into question thanks to Mr. Clemens, Pettite, Giambi and whoever gets caught next.

Who cares what Gayha...... I mean Strahan says.

Pardon my response but who gives a crap what anybody said four months ago?

When Strahan publicly apologizes for smearing the legit accomplishments of honest men, I'm sure the Pats will forgive him.

I do. I care a lot on anything related to spygate and I suspect some on this board also do.

What could have been a glorious season got smeared, and worse, we got stuck with a tainted reputation around the country thanks to the overreaction by many.

So, yeah, pardon me as I try my best to shine light on those opponents who opened their mouths too much without even understanding what spygate was all about.

:snob:

Well, I have some issues with the legitimacy of his sack record.
Hello Brett.:bricks:

I'm sorry, but this is a bit too much. I'm all for bulletin board material, but this hardly qualifies. I'm a huge Pats fan and I had the same questions when spygate broke. Wisconsin reporters just never came to me looking for a quote.

His questions are legitimate and well put.

90% of the people in the country probably feel the same way.

Why do something like that if it doesn't give you an advantage?

If it DID give an advantage, how much of one in big games?

Did they even do it in big games?

Unpleasant questions.

Maybe unwelcome to Pats fans.

But legitimate, commonsense questions nonetheless.
