Most Likely Trade Down Partner

Teams move up for a player not for the overall quality of the draft.
Some teams will live a player at 4 that they will want to move up for. It doesn’t take a consensus it takes 1 team.

The rumors are there’s more teams trying to move down than move up. It’s a buyer’s markets on trades, which isn’t good for us.

I don't think you miss out on Simmons. I have the feeling he's going to drop like a rock. He'll be a steal for someone who doesn't have an immediate need at LT.

I agree. Considering his knee, a team that drafted him would have to be patient. The Patriots have an immediate need and they do not want to force a guys with a gimpy knee onto the sucky frozen turf of Gillette.

The real question is how far down could we trade (assuming a willing partner) and still be assured of getting one of the top LTs? Seems like 10 would be safe but 25 wouldn't. Either way likely have to throw the standard trade value chart out the window - we'd have to offer a significant discount.
The other angle is to take someone like Jeanty at 4, and then trade up back into the mid-20's to pick up a LT.
And the simplest course is to take a LT at 4.

The Bears also have two 2nds, 39 and 41. This would be a great trade for us.
