I thought we're trying to figure out if the news report is accurate or not? Just putting in Randy Moss's history in their story doesn't make it credible.

He was responding to someone saying that maybe the story was true, but it was a different Randy Moss.

Let me go on the record as saying that i hope this isn't true. The only reason I'm getting defensive is cause previous posters questioned my credibility. I'm not the one reporting it, but I spoke to the news station that was. If the guy said he had the affidavit in hand, why would he lie about that?

Folks, let me step in here and say that Sparks1 is correct. This IS a radio station in Florida, I GOOGLED Rozzie Franco and she is employed there and on the website there IS an audio version of her report on this.

Whether or not Rozzie Franco Murrow is leading evryone on here is anyone's guess - - it seems quite unpicked upon by the rest of the nation's media - - 5 hours on now.

Picking on Sparks1, though, is barking up the wrong tree.

Why are you so desperate for the mods to close this. If it's false, which it obviously is, then the fact that this station put it out there is a story to talk about because they will be sued.

OK...just got off the phone with the NY Post sports dept.

Told them I was a die hard Jet fan who saw the story posted on JetInsiders...got transferred to the guy working the Jets and Giants part of the sports department for the latest editon coming out tonight at 12 a.m.

never heard of this story...I gave HIM the radio station number and hung up after saying "Go Jets!" like I was hoping this was true.

I'm calling the NY Times next....by tomorrow this story will have been either have been confirmed by Boston and NY news outlets...or debunked.

By the way, it's is VERY SIMPLE to contact ANY major newspaper and their sports department at night...they are all working full tilt toward deadline and EVERY major newspaper has a PUBLISHED phone number on their website.

Sparks is a good poster, he makes those FU tour pics. I just think this story smells quite bogus. My wife works at a newspaper, and she said this is the sort of thing everyong would be all over. Everyone is hungry for Patriots controversy. Heck, one reporter last week for AP was so desperate for a byline that he wrote a story "Jags and Pats plan to play a full 60 minutes of tough football." Umm, yeah. And THAT was distributed by the AP. This stinks of small town prank, small town reporters that are getting totally snowed by a prankster trying to defocus the Patriots. That prankster might have a lawsuit on his hands.

And it is good sparks brought this to our attention, that is, unless the major outlets now pick up on it because we are calling them. Randy is tough: this will only motivate him more. Like Kobe, who played well during his incident with Crystal Gail Magnum.
