I was pissed. I was mad because I felt like finally I’d got a breakthrough. I’d been injured early in Detroit. I’m finally starting. I had my chance.

Getting traded must feel like a slap, especially in a sport like football where trades are uncommon. Nobody wants to feel unwanted, especially if, like Van Noy, your years of hard work and rehab are finally starting to pay off on the field.

Plus a midseason trade to a team with a different scheme is incredibly stressful. I imagine anybody would be pissed off, Patriots or no.

I think once again the sports media is either 1) too stupid and misinterpreting something, 2) intentionally trolling people for clicks, or 3) both. It's clear from the context that Van Noy wasn't exactly pissed about going to the Patriots - he was pissed that he felt unwanted by the Lions after working so hard at getting where he is. I think the only people who are excited about being traded are those who actually ask for trades.

Or receivers who are used to nursery school playbooks.. "run a 6" "run a 9" versus option routes here where they are expected to read the coverage and react accordingly....which some very good receivers could not do (e.g. Galloway, Ocho Cinco)

I thought that Van Noy made a fairly good case for why he wasn't happy. He thought that he was going back to the bench.

He’s sneaky one of my favorite players in the league. Great motor on the field and a smart, funny guy.

I like him as a player. He has an exuberance on the field and the sidelines that I think is contagious. And he’s a really good “do your job” player. I think we now see why the Pats targeted him for a trade. Definitely one of Belichick’s better trades.

Every time I see an interview with him I always feel "Gee, one has to always be on one's toes around this guy". I can't put my finger on it, but he seems "different". Always a bit mentally challenging to the other person in a discussion. Sometimes I get initmidated just watching him speak . Does anyone else get that vibe about KVN?
