Considering each respective opponent, was TB more clutch in 49 or 51??

Thoughts..

Super Bowl 49 is still the best super bowl ever in my eyes but the super bowl 51 comeback easily wins this for me in terms of clutchness. Even considering the defenses in both games, I always thought Atlanta had an underrated defense (definitely not the legion of boom but still not as bad as people made them out to be). Coming back from 25 down is absolutely insane.

Brady played a better overall game in 49 but he had to dig deeper for this one. Down 25 without Gronk at his disposal etc. Both great games that probably stole a few years from me.

Pats won both.

I can sleep at night

This one, If it wasnt for Kearse the Pats win. This kind of comeback doesnt seem possible

It's not. This was ridiculous. Brady and Belichick are aliens.

This one because not only did they have to score 31. They absolutely dominated and bullied one of the best offenses of the decade in the 2nd half which made the comeback possible

There will never be another SB like that ever. ever ever ever.

Maybe one day. But it took 50 years to have one like this, may be another 50 to see it again.

In the 4th quarter and OT of those 2 games Brady was 34/42/370/3/0
and his team scored 39 points.

So to answer your question it's a tie.

51 barely. 49 Was clutch too and was a cleaner kind of clutch. 51 Had a few more bounces involved and we needed some self inflicted wounds but overall it was more impressive as 49 had a nearly perfect 9 minutes and 51 had a almost near as perfect 15-18 minutes. Though it was more dirty the amount of time and consistently clutch plays over a larger time frame make it better.
