We also gotta gradually mix marcus jones into the offense more.

Thornton has disappointed, not sure if its him or the offensive incompetence, or maybe a bit of both. But that would be 2 legit home run threats. Exactly what this offense needed to add from last year’s version. Then there is strong also who im guessing gets a role next year.

Resign meyers , get a tackle, and get a coordinator who has a clue. Rhamondre / strong / Meyers/ bourne/ thornton / marcus / henry /parker has potential
They were more polished WR's available George Pickens and Alec Pierce nice WR Drafting again BB. I hope Thornton proves me wrong but I wouldn't have drafted him before either of those prospects.

I think Thornton is a combination of things:

1) Injury set him back a little.

2) The offensive line not holding up really hampers using his biggest strength, which is deep speed.

3) He still needs to learn some technique for getting free at the line. There have been two or three plays in particular I can remember where Mac threw to a spot that was open if Thornton got a clean release.

4) Play design isn't really doing anyone on the offense many favors, Thornton included.

That said, he's a rookie and shoulders his share of the blame. No guarantee he gets better, even if those things are corrected, but it's hard to evaluate him (or anyone on offense) in a vacuum right now.

Agreed on all. I guess my expectations from the preseason reports were inflated. Kind of felt he may be like branch who had an immediate impact before his injuries in 2002. But its definitely hard to draw any conclusions from the mattty p disaster. Multiple players who played well last year with a real coordinator have regressed

But we suck at Drafting them in the Harry year I wanted A. J. Brown this year I wanted George Pickens. How can we miss so bad on IMPACT players at the position?? You can see clearly on tape that Pickens is a polished athlete exactly what we need but we picked a possible project in Thornton. We Drafted from Georgia before Michel and Wynn but passed on Pickens *hands up in the air*.

He continued to improve all through TC, it seems odd the he would just stop. Everyone us having issues on this offense- thus, I blame coaching.

I mean, they take a 4.2 guy and run him on a short crosser in traffic and run wr screens with a slow guy. Does not compute

Fat Matt becoming the fall guy I'm not buying it: BB. You shopped for personal and groceries that's who should shoulder the blame. BB have done a masterful Coaching job this year. What a way to save $$$$$$.

So you want to fire BB and keep Patricia?

They surrender 110 rush ypg.

Run. Run. Run. Weave in some PA, we're 7-6.

Somebody should remind BB and Sons that CB Jack Jones is a Rookie who should get help on Elite WR's. The kid ain't Great yet stop leaving him on a Island like Revis in his prime.

I just had a thought. What would it say if electric Marcus Jones ends up with more receiving yards than speed merchant of thinness, Tyquan Thornton?

Marcus Jones ran away from the entire Bills Defense something you would think the more speedy T Thornton would do...

Jones did not ran a route nor was the CB on him in press coverage (thats what they do on Thronton bcs he struggles to get-off or avoid the pressure), Jones got the ball on the LoS and ran his return-style, he fast as Thronton there is not much difference in speed but in what they can do best on the field, Jones is an explsovie and shiftly player, would be perfect for the slot WR if they'd use Jones more on the offense, on the other side with Thornton he is more of the outside receiver stretching the field with his straight line speed, might need to learn on the releases or getting easier of the press coverage, bc thats destroying the timing not only Mac is dependent on but in general the Pats offense in total, he still has time to develop and I am pretty sure he will (at least at WR there is no coach that has no clue about being a WR, like for other positions at the Pats)

I certainly agree that Belichick bears the blame. The question is what are the consequences. Fire him?

I am unsure if that is the best option at this time.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned in this thread but Arizona's defense is ranked 31st in terms of points per game allowed. Their pass defense is ranked 24th. So our offense SHOULD (and I stress should) have a decent game. Their offense is statistically middle of the pack but obviously we have trouble with running QBs so who knows.

I agree with the sentiment of your post. Belichick hired Patricia out of a personal affinity and he will remain loyal to Patricia over any player on the roster. If Bourne is inactive after his comments then yes Patricia and Belichicks are both assholes. Which is already true but that's beside the point. Are they benching Mac for practically screaming in Patricia's face? The players are frustrated and fed up with Patricia and his mickey mouse offense. And I have no problem with them getting vocal about it. Patricia needs to go... I think everyone here can agree on that. So I don't understand why anyone would even remotely take his side on this. The Detroit locker room hated Patricia for a reason. Seems like more of the same here. Patricia is shaping up as Belichick's third biggest mistake of all time.

Going on 4th/13 instead of attempting a 48-yard FG?

Letting Chris Harper return punts in Denver?

Not using Malcolm?

Murry isn't that good of a QB but scrambling QB's vs the Pats system usually has negative results for NE.

Bourne inactive = addition by subtraction.

Something is off in that equation.

While DawgHaus has certainly been mis-used this season compared to last season, it's also true that he hasn't done NEARLY as much with the opportunities he has been given as he did last season.
