Would be a big blow. Vrabel and co. built a pretty well rounded roster but I think the thing that’s going to hold them back is the lack of high end talent. Maye/Gonzo/Williams are the only straight DAWGS on their team that are just too good for the opponents. The rest of the team is more average/ok/decent than it is great. It’s not even just about time missed for Williams, it’s more about if he comes back a reduced version of himself for the rest of the year. They really need him running at peak effectiveness for the playoffs to turn this nice regular season run into a real Super Bowl push IMO.

So Fowlers prediction is he could miss several weeks which means he could miss no time or he could miss one week.

I expect they will shut him down at least until the bye week, to make sure he’s available for the rest of the season, and especially the post season. Vrabes has been playing his hand perfectly all year. I see no reason to expect that to change with this.

I’m talking about elite, all pro kind of players. Diggs still very good but that level anymore. As a #1 WR he’s definitely bottom half of the league. Boutte good but long ways from that caliber of player - he’s a good #2 though. I guess you can say MJones is “elite” if you isolate to slot CB but I think that’s kind of weak to isolate like that. Barmore I was on the fence about including in that list, but I don’t think he’s quite that level.

Maye/Gonzo/Williams are the only guys I think warrant real pro bowl/all pro consideration on the team and I think that’s kind of a light list for a team that can go all the way. So they really need Williams operating at peak ability

Too bad he'll miss Ravens and Bills games mainly for his pass rush, the 1 area we can't replace.
Durden will be fine as a run stopper with Barmore and Tonga. May need to blitz a bit more to get some pressure.

He came back on the game and played hard before being pulled out but I guess his body was still hot so he didn't fell the real pain, maybe in the next day the swelling show up.

If it was only a couple week I guess they wouldn't go the IR route, like with Rham they would just hold onto his roster spot. So it's a little concerning.
