I mean, I think Suh is a dirty player and a danger to people on the field. But I also think that's true of Rodney Harrison, who once dove at Trent Green's knee in a preseason game. (It worked out okay for the Rams, but still.) Rodney was suspended the season before he came to the Patriots because he launched himself head first at Jerry Rice's head. He used to literally launch himself into receivers' heads. He knocked Troy Brown out once when he was with the Chargers.

I'd prefer Sheldon Richardson over Suh because he's younger and I think better... but as far as being a danger to others is concerned, at least Suh's issues are confined to the football field.

Fact: Suh is undisciplined.
Evidence: not playing the defense as called doing whatever he wants, which he admitted. Trashing his teammates publicly. Taking okays off consistently.


Fact: aside from 1 year no defense suh has played on has been above average.
Evidence: life

Miami head coach Joe Philbin denied Suh was freelancing.

"I just watched the entire tape with the entire defensive staff, I didn't see anything of the sort," Philbin said Monday. "So I'm not sure where that came from."

I can't find any record of him taking plays off or trashing his teammates, but I did find that Suh was voted a captain by his teammates last season so they couldn't have been too angry at him.

All I know is we have to many choir boys on defense who allow washed up QBs to revive their careers and break records against them....

Ditto here. Just googled it and it was a Miami Herald article from October, 2015....almost 3 seasons ago (following a loss to the Jags) where Suh said he wasn't sure what happened and would need to watch tape....

One plus of having Suh on this team is that other teams won't be taking head shots at our offensive stars (if Gronk doesn't retire) like Gronk, Cooks, maybe even Brady to knock them out of the game, like it happened in the playoffs to both. You know Suh won't have a problem doing the same, even if it costs him 4 games. Not a preferable scenario but a possible one.

I think the Pats need a playmaker at DE (3-4). Brown is good, Guy is good...but a Richardson or a Suh changes the dynamic considerably.
I remain unconcerned about their offense, or their secondary.

I want to see another big DL signing and at least one LB signing.
