Anyone have any info on this guy..any good at CB? Never really heard of him

This FA market really is flooded with CBs this year

He wants big money, and it isn't justified by his play.

Was Sean Smith the CB that was abusing Ocho Stinko during the Dolphins Hard Knocks series

Smith is ok but plenty of guys i want before him....Chris houston, Keenan Lewis, Greg toler, Bradley fletcher and pacman jones, not to mention talib

Never heard of him? Divisional rival and pretty high on the Pats wish list when he was drafted as I recall.

Smith is the best of the "top" tier if CB's or the top of the 2nd tier depending on how you look at it. If they can get him for a fair price he'd be a good get.

Pacman Jones is wholly inferior to Smith as an NFL player, WTH? His heyday was 2006. He'll be 30 in September. Smith will be 26 in July, and his last two years he's played as well or better then Jones ever has in the NFL.

The contract numbers and length of contract should bear all this out.

The real "WTF" name on that list for me was Fletcher. He was demoted to be the Rams' #4 CB after his 3-PI game against the Pats.

Rams' #4 or Dolphins' #1? Hmm...

Although, I don't see Smith as a realistic target for the Pats.

Liked him coming out of the draft. Lots of complaints about him when Vontae Davis was there and all of a sudden he's the favorite flavor. Got to be better than Arrington but at what cost. Probably wants more than we would pay

when was the last time we actually paid decent $$ for a CB....bodden?

my point is all about value, we could either get just sean smith or 2 of the other guys, it obviously makes sense to get 2 players for the price of one.

And on pacman , check the stats for last season. all the guys listed were better than sean smith last season.

Im confused. You're saying Pacmans stats as a DB were better than Smiths in 2012?

Sean Smith NFL Football Statistics - Pro-Football-Reference.com

Adam Jones Stats, News, Videos, Highlights, Pictures, Bio - Cincinnati Bengals - ESPN

Either way, I never want to see Pacman on this team. EVER

It's laughable the sites you use for stats. Once you find a site that actually uses stats and understands their relevence, then come back to me.

PacMan's cap hit this season just gone was just $1.1million, he's ranked the 11th best CB in the league on his 2012 play. One stat for instance is that only just over 4% of his snaps in coverage resulted in a TD or 1st down. Thats the 7th lowest percentage in the entire league.

At CB .5 + .5 does not equal 1.0, it equals .5, .5

What stats are you looking at, my stats have Smith burying Pacman.

Ok, well how about posting a link to the website that meets your strict standards, instead of acting like an *******

I honestly don't give a crap what Pacmans stats are. I would never want him on this team.

If you say you got those stats from PFF, I'm going to laugh at you

I want Pacman on this team about as much as I want to develop prostrate cancer. COME ON MAN!

There's a type of cancer that you get from being submissive? Or does it make you want to lie down?

I saw Sean Smith play maybe 3-4 games last year. He is tough on big receivers, but he's not as quick as you would think he is by the numbers. He contained Fitzgerald when the Fins played the Cardinals but he always had help over the top. He can be susceptible to drag and comeback routes and sometimes it seems like he sleeps on the break, a big no-no and something Revis never does.

He should be better than he is and I don't really know why he isn't.
