Every team has a bunch of rules for the media about tweeting or reporting on specific formations/plays and stuff like that from practice. Varies between teams.

I appreciate JDot's explanation regarding the rules for media reporting on open practice vs. what fans can say.

When I was looking at Volin's twitter at the time, I saw this response from Volin (Minihane had tweeted that "none of this happens without Mort's false story."):

"The Patriots brought none of this on themselves" sounds like those troglodytes who, after a woman is assaulted, say, "Well, she shouldn't have been dressed that way" or "She shouldn't have led him on."

In Volin's mind, it's the Patriots fault that the league accused them of something they didn't do and then leaked false information to the media to incriminate them.
