I had a conversation with Josh's mom at the Pats/Lions game in Sept. His family was there from Ohio. They had all went to the Michigan game the day before. I was sitting in row#1 right in back of the Pat's bench. His mom came up with his son and called him over. He was extremely happy to see them and they had a little chat. His mom turned to me and said
" That's my son" she was very proud. I told her I was from Foxborough area but that I now lived in Ohio. She was very friendly...so friendly that my wife who was walking down the aisle got a little agitated as to who was the well dressed lady grabbing my arm and shoulder and putting her arm around me.
I said to her..Your son is the next head coach of the New England Patriots" You would have to be there to see her face and reaction. She smiled coyly and said " I bet your happy he did go to the Colts" We then chatted for a bit more but I will keep that quiet. I was privy to an adorably sweet conversation between Josh and his son. They seemed like a super close knit family.
I took from my talk that McDaniels isn't going anywhere.
