This isn't on Mayo. He's young. He's 36. Of course he'd be a better coach next year. That goes without saying with someone so young being a Head Coach for the first time.

The big problem is that the owner doesn't understand what is required to run a successful football team.

Yep; and one of those requirements is to Never hire someone like Mayo as your HC.

Umm what. Is this how you stay thin by all the exercise you get jumping to conclusions. I do not see how you came to that conclusion at all. In the military I was put in charge of my first physical therapy clinic once I hit E-6, I made a lot of mistakes but learned from them and improved in my 2nd year of doing it. Point is that if you acknowledge there is room for improvement and you intend to work toward improving that doesn't mean you wrote off the 1st year even while you're doing it.

OTOH I get enough of half assed conspiracy theories on sports talk radio, I can't stomach much more..

My reason is that I don't value coaching as much as most fans. I've come to believe that talent evaluation is far more important than coaching techniques. Those have been around for a century with a few tweaks that get figured out in time.

Next year year 3 is where coaches make their jump I talked to thunder he understands.
That me and Cov had some problems when our fourth string DT went out in camp I think that put us in a bad position all year and look guys we do what we think is best,
Punting on third and 12 down by 20 in the fourth was a judgment call and it starts with me. Obviously we don’t have the most talented roster aside from Maye Bar and Gonzo. We believe Polk is coming into his own he caught that one pass for negative yards week 4 and I think he did a good job with it not being a full body catch. Jug machines? Nah look these guys they were born with hands they were born with balls.
Did you guys see the new video game cafe Thunder put on the practice field?
Did Maye ask for a trade?
Listen I’m not going to get in on every conversation I have with players those are special bonds we have. Did the mic catch Maye saying I hate the stale Mayo? Look that can be taken so many ways, I’m not going to try to come up with every hypothetical we look to bounce back against the Bailey Zappe lead browns next week.

Look it takes two to tango, but we got our eyes on the waiver wire as always and we are excited about the 10 year contract extension thunder gave me before he was admitted to that Alzheimer’s unit.

Well he better be a better coach that this year, this year the bar is very low so he has nowhere to go but up . The team needs to make the playoffs , if not Kraft needs to get rid of him. Isn't that what he claimed he was going to do to Bill if he did not make the playoffs in 2001 ? Why should Mayo get a third year ? If they surround Maye with decent talent , no reason why they cannot be a wildcard at the very least. This kid is very special and I want to see him win and succeed. Mayo and Wolf need to make sure that happens at any cost.

Did I miss a year? This is the second post I have seen saying next year will be Mayo’s 3rd .
