Actually was on my to-do list for this morning - here's the transcript for anyone who doesn't have time to watch/listen to it:

Did you watch it? Anything you want to highlight?
I'm not masochist enough... But I know a guy who is:

Middle of the road Team here we come. I am sure Allen and Tua are smiling and hope the Krafts give Mayo an extension.
We have a long way to go to get to the middle of the road. I don’t think Mayo will ever get them there.

Wolf's draft pick mistakes have a 4 year contract. Essentially every draft mistake is a 4 year mistake. Mayo's mistakes don't rob the team of a cost effective 4 year player. Wolf should be the first to go.
Agree on Wolf.

I feel bad for Mayo; he was really put in a no win situation. On the other hand, he's not ready AND he gets paid millions so, can't feel too bad for him.

Were you a better Moderator of this forum in Year 2 than Year 1?

If the answer is yes, then why did you write off year 1?

Like any of us, he's learning.
Everyone at every stage is learning. People who accept their failure by saying give me time I’ll get better are destined to fail

I am rooting for Mayo. He was a great player for us. He stayed and coached with us. He's part of the family. I would think fans would want him to succeed. The almost savage attacks kinda blows me away. He's our guy. Maybe it turns out he's not a good coach ... fine, but he's still our guy and deserves some respect.

This part is interesting, and a good point. I wonder how much more savage it would be for a coordinator from another team who hadn't been a coach previously, especially given that the guy they have right now is someone who people used to cheer for on the field here.

Albeit - as others have pointed out - it's never easy replacing a GOAT.

Yes, this is correct. Mayo is not ready, and might not ever be ready. Arguing in a staged interview that you will be better next year lacks awareness that better than the "2024 Mayo" is not the target. Improving from a disaster to a near-disaster is not anything we should look forward to.

I think it's some weird Boston stuff going on here because I can't picture it being more savage than this. I actually think we'd have gone easier on someone from the outside.

I didn't expect him to do an actual sit down interview with anyone who would actually ask him the questions that most Fans and Analyst's would have asked. And he didn't disappoint with this interview. It was complete and total Fluff B.S.

People get consumed with thier personal dislike for him and full up BS post with jokes and other diversity hire talk. It's childish. Myself I always supported him, and I criticized him as HC strictly on his coaching decisions. I've said over and over either he will become a better HC or he won't be here simply put. Whether it's Bill, Vrabel, Harbaugh whoever. They'd all be 5 to 6 win coaches with this team.

Funny enough whenever they have outside reporters like Reiss or Callahan or Perry on the morning show it's actually pretty good. But that lasts all of 20 minutes before the fart jokes resume
Yes, you're correct. Those appearances are exceptions to my analysis, ,but they're too rare.
