It's easy, and only takes a few moments."It's been pretty rough, but we have to right the ship, and that's the plan," Mayo said today, adding that to make it happen, it'll take "a lot of hard work, everyone committing a lot of time, more time to football. That's what we're gonna do."
That's why Thomas thought Tom Brady's presence on Wednesday -- hours after his second son was born -- was meaningful.
"It is," Mayo said. "Having a guy like him lead by example is huge. A guy like me, I don't have any (family) up here, so I'm good. I can come up here whenever."
Glad the someone on the defense is starting to speak up. Hopefully Mayo can emerge as one of the new leaders for the defense along with Wilfork
Somebody needs to step up and lead this team, there is way too much jaw flapping for a BB team.....
It is going to Be even Worse if the DFENSE Doesnt step Up and Get THE Pass Rush On My Opinion Looks Like the Vrabel Trade and seymour Trades WHere Busts To bad we have no Pass rush and after what Adalius Thomas said Yesterday He may not Play.
Have you noticed AD "playing" all season? We lose nothing if he's not on the field, IMO. He hasn't given us much when he's been on it.
Mayo's definitely a future leader. It's his game I"m worried about. He has been a non-factor more often than not this year. Not good for someone Bill PoliON thinks is the next Ray Lewis.

I don't get where Mayo's numbers have been down. He missed several games and has 64 tackles. He also has a 1.5 sacks, and unlike our high priced pass rushers he managed to get to Henne last week. He seems slower than usual at times but he's playing on a bum knee and still a good run-stuffer

I think it's the "quality of tackles" I suppose. I'm in the middle of law school finals right now so I don't have time to dive deep into stats, but how many tackles are for a loss? Tackles as a useful stat doesn't really do it for me anymore. Hell, if I remember correctly, towards the tail end of his career, Bruschi was racking up tons of tackles. They were all just 6, 7, 8 yards downfield.
