Disagree I am sure if he breaks containment Maye would find WR's running loose Rogers made a living doing that.Playing Maye now behind that sieve of a line would be disastrous.

I get it. And I'm on board but, if the calendar turns to November and we're still seeing Jacoby not connecting with his WRs, I will do and say very bad things. Like, really bad.Julian Edelman on why he loves Jacoby Brissett as Patriots' starting quarterback
His time will come. There’s no doubt Drake Maye will be given every opportunity to flourish as New England’s QB1. But that time is not now. The Pats stunned the Bengals 16-10 in week 1, and although the numbers that Jacoby Brissett put up weren’t gaudy - 15-24, 0 TDs,…patriotswire.usatoday.com
“The young quarterback is a delicate thing,” said Edelman. “It’s like nourishing a little bird in a nest.”
“(Jacoby) knows how to win games,” said Edelman. “He’s a great example for a young guy to learn from – on how he prepares, how he takes care of his body, his mannerisms in the meeting room, how he watches film. Drake (doesn’t) know how to do any of that yet.”
I don't think we ever are going to see Tyquan full potential until Drake plays.
That 7 yard sideways pass almost hit the ground to KJ.. KJ has thst type of game. He's crafty and runs great routes.. unfortunately for him KB is coming back..Or any younger wr for that matter.
Even a vet like kj osborne produced nicely in minny and i heard was having a really good camp. But we’ll never know what he can do here with jacoby in

Well KB on IR was making it available for someone like boutee. Wich boutee is talented but he's not going to supplant a starter. So I'm thinking KB, POP, Thornton? As starters. This is the problem imo. We have a collection of mid level or unproven younger wr’s and no idea who to cut when kb is back. Im guessing itll be boutte but we’re still carrying too many wr’s then as well. Need to trim it down for 25 and see who needs upgraded

I haven't changed my opinion of having Maye sit his rookie season. We went from wanting Brissett to hold down the job as Maye learns to demanding that Maye start right away and it’s only the second preseason game. Lol.
The thing with Tyquan is he has the speed you love.. but I just think Brissett has the time or the arm to hit him beyond 15 yards. The line, Brissett still possibly nursing that shoulder too.. however Drake hits 25 and 30 yard throws with ease. Remember that throw to polk for 30 yards? WowKb and pop certainly. Thornton im still not sold on. He supposedly had a great camp, not sure if the problem purely is brissett or maybe Tyquans just not a gamer
Jacoby number one job is to not turn the ball over he is doing that to perfection.Kb and pop certainly. Thornton im still not sold on. He supposedly had a great camp, not sure if the problem purely is brissett or maybe Tyquans just not a gamer
Brissett being hurt may not allow it.I haven't changed my opinion of having Maye sit his rookie season.
By playing "caretaker" the team is staying in games. That's all you can ask for with this roster - especially on offenseJacoby number one job is to not turn the ball over he is doing that to perfection.
That being said he is playing scared to make plays,
....or his line which is absolutely a reason.Either he doesn’t trust his arm, the receiver, or the play.
Because he and the offense have ability/skill limitationsHe knows the quickest way to see Drake take his job is to turn the ball over.
He’s essentially managing the run game but not orchestrating a passing offense or threat,
More than anything it's the constant collapse of the pocket.. he's constantly under pressure I believe i saw something where he's the highest pressured QB heading into week 3..By playing "caretaker" the team is staying in games. That's all you can ask for with this roster - especially on offense

It would be stupid. This line is awful at pass protection, and we already saw that we can't guarantee our receivers get open consistently.Playing Maye now behind that sieve of a line would be disastrous.
I don't doubt that stat.More than anything it's the constant collapse of the pocket.. he's constantly under pressure I believe i saw something where he's the highest pressured QB heading into week 3..
Yes.. even when he completes it.. it's a defensive player in his chest or knocking him down.. Brissett is a big a strong guy.. but I know he's hurt and feeling the pressure of a talented QB that's hungry. I kinda of backed off the WRs.. it's definitely the OL.. our WRs are much better than to have 19 yards collectively.I don't doubt that stat.
Seems like every 3rd throw the pocket isn't clean and he checking down, hes being hit/hurried or he can't find anyone open.
Big reason why i'm OK w/ Maye sitting.Yes.. even when he completes it.. it's a defensive player in his chest or knocking him down..
