He never was good at setting the edge and he never was good at covering RB's. He was a guy whose primary role since college was being a pure pass rusher. He's the type of guy who you get when you just want an extra hand in the rotation. If the Patriots wanted to make him a project and get him more versatile and it failed, it's on them, because as a player he is what he is.I couldn't care less what he says, he's a loser. I am upset at the lack of preparedness and evaluation that led to the team wasting their time on him and Ealy.
I actually enjoy comments like his, they are very comical. Patriots are so mean, they actually expect me to perform all the functions of the position to the best of my ability. Sounds like a three year old.

It's more annoying with people getting upset that he said didn't like the Pats and how he played him. There's some people here that lose their minds unless they hear 100% good things about the Pats. Cassius wasn't a good fit. He was a niche player who came from a culture that was a lot more lax. He didn't ask to come here, we wanted him here and made the trade for him. It not working out is more on poor expectations and evaluations.
Here's the thing he probably was performing to the best of his ability, he just wasn't good at what they wanted.
Danny and Tedy were players who wanted to be here and went out of there way to be here. They could have left if they wanted. Marsh didn't have much of a choice. There's a big difference. The fun team didn't want him. The no fun team didn't want him. In terms of his football career, Mr. Marsh should be looking inward rather than spouting off about external issues that are of no longer of any concern to him.
My guess is that, while there are plenty here who can't be bothered to look beyond first impressions of issues, most people here understand and respect the difference between the likes of a Cassius Marsh and the likes of a Danny Amendola or Tedy Bruschi. If Danny or Tedy want to point out that it's not all snow days and ice cream when playing for the Patriots, that's one thing. When an incompetent like Marsh feels the need to spout off after he's gone, that's another.

Some players in the league just want to play the way they play and collect a check. That's okay. This isn't the place for that. That's okay too. People just need to live and let live.

I did actually. My whole problem with the anthem issue is that you had one side demanding the other side do something differently. If it was just a disagreement I really wouldn't have any issue with the side I disagreed with. It was more than that. That's irrelevant to the point I'm making.
Funny that you don't take your own advice when it comes to, say, anthem issues.
I agree. I wish he never came here. Browner was in that culture to and he only lasted a year. He did what he needed, but the dude was very undisciplined and drew a lot of fouls. People from that culture don't fit well here. Some people have infectious diseases. Still would like the to address that before inviting them over.

As far as this, no not really. Brushci and Amendola were players who far better fit what the Patriots wanted them for and they also had the option to leave and didn't. Marsh was asked to play outside his skill set and didn't have a choice to be here. They are coming from two totally different places and one isn't more relevant than the other. It's just two different mentalities.

Again, why drag Browner into this? He did his best with what he was, a big slow guy trying to play cornerback. Without his violent handling of Seattle's receivers Malcom Butler wouldn't have become a folk hero.
You'r confusing physical limitations to a guy that doesn't care and doesn't want to do his job.
Not everyone changes like that. Asking a dude whose never had to set the edge or cover running backs like Hunt to all of a sudden do that is a huge ask in the pros. You understand that Bruschi was a [much better] pass rushing defensive end who completely transformed himself into an inside linebacker because it better suited him in the pros and mostly because he wanted to win. You couldn't have made a poorer comparison to this clown if you tried.
He did not "fit" the Patriots, he was a pass rushing DE with 52 sacks in college.
