It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I get where you're coming from as their roster at least on the offensive side isn't that great. In my opinion, they wasted a draft pick on a Tackle when they had Trent Brown already in place. Because they were solid at Tackle, I wanted them to get an impact player on offense. If the Pats get Brown's conditioning in check, he's going to be a an absolute stud at LT.i think that's as good as they will finish and i dont have much confidence in that. i see them more likely 8-8. we shall see... IMO vikings and packers will finish ahead of 9ers. so best case is 6 seed.
I agree
The more mature approach by Marsh should have been just to say he wasn't a fit for the D and use a couple of lines from Chris Long exit.
Like s brain? There is a slight intelligence difference between Long and Marsh....
Why is anyone surprised by this crap? It's been promoted in a passive- aggressive manner by NE.'s two best players for months.
What a complete douche
Cassius Marsh on playing for the Patriots: ‘They don’t have fun there’
If I recall correctly, Marsh was also raving about the 49ers earlier last week, and kinda throwing the Patriots a dirty one by saying that Jimmy Garoppolo was a far better athlete than Tom Brady. His comment seemed random and could be seen as saying that Jimmy is better than Brady. Overall, pretty sad remarks made from Marsh, trying to throw his past team under the bus, after they traded a 5th and 7th for him.
A few excerpts:
“I confronted (Patriots coach Bill Belichick) about all the things that were going on,” Marsh said. “I won’t get into detail, but it was B.S. things they were doing."
“They don’t have fun there,” Marsh said. “There’s nothing fun about it. There’s nothing happy about it. I didn’t enjoy any of my time there, you know what I’m saying? It made me, for the first time in my life, think about not playing football because I hated it that much.”
Not everyone's like you. Like I said, there's lot of people in this world that will take less pay and less prestige to work in a company that has a culture where people enjoy themselves over a cutthroat high risk/high reward corporate environment. Go check out and see how many people end up bailing on the top 5 financial firms (KPMG/Deloitte/PwC etc) because they can't stand the environment despite knowing if they make it there they are set for life.
There's lots of players in this league that just wouldn't fit in on the Patriots because they operate like a no nonsense business. And there's lots of teams that are willing to provide a different culture for players like that.
I don't get why this bothers people. There's lots of people in this world that prefer working in a culture they like more than anything else. Plenty of people take jobs at less prestigious companies for less pay because they don't like the culture and feel like they would be happier somewhere else. I know multiple people who bailed on one of the big 5 financial firms because they were miserable the whole time even though they knew if they stuck it out for a few more years they'd be set for life.
Someone like Marsh is never going to get credit for winning a SB with Pats and he's in the league for a paycheck until he can no longer go. He won't have some big NFL legacy. He's better off going somewhere he can just take it easy, get his money, and not have high expectations.
We want players who are grinders who care about winning and who like to work hard. No big deal
Eh that's actually fair. Because we lacked depth they asked him to do a bunch of things he wasn't good at instead of playing his strengths (which typically is the Patriots MO). He struggled as a result because he wasn't good at it and he looked like **** and was getting busted up a lot as a result. He just wanted to do what he knew. And tbf we were making some questionable decisions with him. We had him covering Hunt all over the field in the opener last year which was just completely insane and he never should have been in that position.
Like I said it's fine. He wasn't versatile enough for what we needed and he didn't like a culture that was hardlined and demanded more. We parted ways. That's life. Not everyone has to get along.
