Is anyone concerned that Maroney only carried six times, the last time being 12:07 in the 2nd quarter? Are they just being cautious with him, or did he aggravate his injury?

Why run him in a game they already won? It doesn't seem like rocket science to me, he just comes back, got some good runs in early, score was a blowout, you keep him out of action when you don't need him.

I certainly realize that might be the explanation - but it also might not be. What are you locals hearing in the Boston media?

He was standing on the sidelines and looked fine, why risk it?

I believe this was the plan going into the game. Give Maroney 5-10 touches to get him back into game shape. Next week I bet it's 10-15. That way he's rested but yet in game shape for Indy when they really need him. He looked good in limited action today. Great cuts, took on some tacklers, overall very promising.

Faulk is the back in a spread offense. Bill said his involvement was predicated on the game plan, nothing else. But feel free to kvetch since there is nothing to obcess over on offense this week other than our #2 QB throwing a pick.

Some of the posts today are just embarassing as a fan. Would you run your running back up as much as we were? Think a little before you post

We don't need this kind of post in response. It was a perfectly reasonable topic, and YOU are an embarassment to the rest of us who come here to discuss the Patriots.

Have to agree, game won , he's had his few carries and run real hard.Looked confident when being tackled and i think next week will be ready for more carries. We need him badly to be 100% fit in 2 weeks time so good move to keep him on the sidelines with the game won. Great win. GO PATS.
