I looked for stats on this but couldn't find it: What is Maroney's rushing average on first down? It seems like most times he runs the ball on first down it's 2 yards, then he leaves the game and Brady's back in the shotgun on the next play.

Also, how many sure interceptions has Meriweather dropped?

Just a couple nitpicking thoughts to warm the heart on Christmas Eve. :singing:

I can't give you that number, but I can give you something. Football Outsiders uses a measure called Success Rate ("A measure of running back consistency based on the percentage of carries where the player gains 40% of needed yards on first down, 60% of needed yards on second down, or 100% of needed yards on third or fourth down.").

Maroney has a success rate of 59%--the second-highest number in the league.

does it really matter how many balls he dropped? the kid looked good in coverage and made some great hits.

Meriweather's hands ain't nit-pickin', Tunes..they are stones...guess that's why he's a D player

That's impressive.

Didn't Asante have bad hands in his first couple years?

I think Merriweather still gets so jacked up that the game is moving pretty fast mentally and he ends up dropping it.

I think he has been coming along. it was huge that Baker and Jackson got cut... that was a huge show of confidence for Merriweather.

He's gonna get alot better next season and thereafter
