Marcus Fortson promoted to 53 man roster

Forston was a huge High School recruit.... Top 50 HS player IIRC.

Was projected as a 2nd-3rd round pick in last years draft. Something happened in his Senior season though. I think he was injured.


But the potential is definitely there.

Agree completely on the potential. I also would add that BB like him. He was on the original 53 man roster to avoid losing him to another team right out of preseason. It was not in till teams had solidified their roster that BB cut him to quickly sign to the practice squad. After that he did not take the risk of moving him up temporally at all even though he could of used him to fill in during injuries and JC suspension.

I wonder if they might use him in the Jermaine Cunningham DT role.

Right now signing Armstead comes just after re-signing the 'big 3" of Welker, Talib and Vollmer in terms of my wish list for the Pats.
