Mac Jones was traded to jaguars for their 6th round pick which was used to draft Milton.

Milton in turn was traded for a 5th round pick.

Final results of Patriots’ Joe Milton trade with Cowboys are in.

The Patriots traded the second-year quarterback to Dallas earlier this off season.

Leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys reached agreement on a trade to send quarterback Joe Milton from the AFC East to the NFC East. Milton, originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Patriots last spring, was sent to Dallas alongside a seventh-round draft pick in exchange for a fifth-rounder.

The picks involved were No. 171 coming to New England as well as No. 217 going to Dallas. With those two selections now invested by their respective teams, we can take a look at the final tally of the trade.

The Patriots decided to trade out of the 171st overall pick when they were on the clock late in Round 5. Sliding back 11 spots in a trade with the Detroit Lions, they picked up an extra seventh-rounder at No. 228. They then invested that pick to facilitate another trade-down, adding another extra selection to the mix.

K Andres Borregales (via Pick No. 182)
LS Julian Ashby (via Pick No. 251)
CB Kobee Minor (via Pick No. 257)

So Mac Jones trade resulted in kicker and long snapper in total and 1 year of qb3.

Sooooo, at the end of the day - our 1st Round QB who started 3 years, was traded for a 6th Round pick and our 6th Round QB who started 1 game, was traded for a 5th Round pick with the (2) 7th Round picks involved basically offsetting. Things that make you go, “hmmmmmmm”..

Any news on the Harry and Strange dividends?

Garbage in; Garbage out.

I never factor in what a team did with the pick(s) than what they initially got in return with the initial transaction. It's irrelevant at that point.
