Mac Jones is the Starter [Update - Mac is starting vs the Jete, says BB]

Thank you. People want to suggest Mac Jones has "regressed" as argument for moving on to Zappe but the REAL regression is in how he's been handled. As admirably as he has performed in Mac's absence I doubt Bailey would be in an alleged QB controversy with Josh McDaniels still running the offense. And my suspicion is notorious quarterback killer Joe Judge has had a hand in mucking things up.
100% correct.

how is Daniel Jones doing so far this year? Credit: Coach Dabol

That was Vince Lombardi that asked that...maybe you're trying to make a joke.
You're right. Hey I'm old man, can't remember everything from 50+ years ago.
No joke, really for the first time in 23 years, I'm questioning what the hell is Bill doing.
This season has been a shi.tshow and the buck stops with Bill. He has not handled the OC situation or the qb situation well.
Cmon Bill stop the bleeding. At least put Mac in a position to have success and then it's on Jones whether he does or not.
But right now this on you Bill.

Nice post so It's obvious why H Henry and Jonnu Smith are are so ineffective especially with Mac he's scared to make those tight intermediate throws. The Defense have tapes on him now and his lack of arm strength can be plainly seen. I cringe when he throws side line outs.
Precisely. That’s why HH had such an awful rapport with Mac last season… >.>

Drink the Kool aid
it is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

They don't have consistency now. What else is there to lose by having an open competition and let the best man win who has earned it?

My belief is at the end of the day, BB is treating the QB position like any other one on the roster. I think the other 50+ players appreciate the fact there are no sacred cows.

Belichick has always been an "earn" guy, not a "deserve" guy.

Even if one feels Jones has more upside/potential to tap into if he can clean up his issues - which he no doubt does - and that he deserves the opportunity to play in an attempt to fix those issues and realize that potential, I still am of the opinion that Zappe has earned the right to continue starting based on how he has played.

This feels like a "deserved" decision, not an "earned" decision.

Did Judge muck up the 2 wins rookie Zappe had?i

The NY Giants would like to have a word. 5-1 with the same roster and QB that Judge ruined.

Also, those games they played from ahead against the two worst defenses with the running game and defense playing lights out.

Can't believe we have people basically disagreeing that McDaniels would have this offense/Mac playing better than Judge and Patricia

yeah...you sort of remind me of Piter DeVries...

The Cleveland Browns would like to have a word with you about Mr. Belichick.

Nice deflection. So Joe judge is a good coach? He's better than McDaniels?

It's a coincidence that the same team judge coached down the drain and got fired is now 5-1?

I see no reasonable way someone can defend having two failed coaches who never coached offense as the dual offensive coordinator. And then insinuate they are as good or better than a guy who ACTUALLY was considered one of the top OC's

At least the Zappe chants will be quieter in NY, Mac is probably glad not to be home lol

Deflection? You mentioned the Giants. Did they coach other positions as well? Sure? Did they do a good job? Yep.

What are you saying? Being a good DC or special teams coach makes you a good offensive coordinator? This makes no sense at all.

Quarterbacks to start for the Patriots in the 2.5 years since Kraft chose Belichick over Brady:

Cam Newton
Brian Hoyer
Mac Jones
Zappe Bailey

Really nailed it, Bill!
Starting to look like a revolving door; doesn't it?

Failed head coaches sometimes are good coordinators. Let's hope the Patriots have more success against the Jets.

Agreed. Why can’t people see this?

Daniel Jones has 6 TDs in 7 games and the most yards he has in a game is 217.

The Giants are 30th in passing yards and 2nd in rushing yards.

D Jones is averaging 6.6y/att.

Just the opposite. Mac has beaten the Jete twice -- including in their house -- and knows their defensive tendencies.

Ridiculous.
The part of the Jets that's not aching their Defense well know the 2022 Mac tendencies too. Two immovable objects on a collision course something gotta give.

yeah, barkley is playing for a new deal, sparking that offense... wish that was how Wynn was going to play out the string this year... leaving nothing on the table...

Am I the only one tired of these Mac pressers??

Feels like he says what he thinks people want him to say. He should have been livid on Monday but he did not show any of that.

Now Mac is saying he deserves to start. Hope BB doesn't think he deserves to be Benched if he struggles again. You can't make these things up.
