BB is in the process of "making up" a dynamic roster of wideouts for 2013. But other than Amendola and Gronk+Hernandez, most are on 1 year contract. That is worrisome.
Even more worrisome is we don't seem able to draft and develop WRs like Torey Smith or sign Jenkins when he was dumped by Houston. The ravens are very good at it. The Pats are not.
I was hoping/am still hoping they draft some tall, speedy receivers in this draft. Also, hoping they did not give away 4 years of a3rd round draft pick at reasonable pay for 1 year of Sanders -- if they are not willing to extend him at Amendola type salaries. They could have picked by Darius Heyward-Bey at a reasonable price -- but did not.
For some reason, BB seems to like burning up his draft choices on veterans rather than free agents. But at least, both in the case of Talib and Sanders he seems to be investing in YOUNGER talent w/ years of productivity. Unfortunately, neither of them are signed to a multi-year contract.
