It seems as though that douchebag, ex-lawyer Florio agrees with my take as well:

I think they either suspend them each for one game from a team/organizational standpoint as they've done in the past, OR they let the situation play out in court where it will be postponed until after the 2014 season, and they can deal with the 1-2 game suspension from the NFL in 2015.
