Source? In a January press conference Greer stated that Wilkins had bet on himself in 2023 (after rejecting the Dolphins contract, offers last offseason and that it had paid off, and additionally stated that he had earned the right to explore free agency.

I don’t know if the Dolphins actually can tag Wilikins, but the cap increase certainly makes that more likely.!And all of the recent reports out of Miami, including Graziano at ESPN are saying they will franchise tag him. This is another reason I would caution against going wild in free agency, is if they can roll over cap money into next offseason the tags on the best players in this free agency will become too expensive for these teams to keep guys like Tee Higgins and Christian Wilkins. So instead of spending as much for lesser players this year, roll over as much as they can and get the real things next offseason. But if Wilkins does come free this offseason he would be the priority for me, an interior DL of Barmore and Wilkins would be one of the best, if not the best DL combo’s in football, and it would mske their edge rushers much more dangerous because of the attention it would draw to the interior of their DL. . And the same logic applies to Higgins. I would rather get Higgins next offseason than Pittman this offseason.

Word on the street is that the Chiefs are going hard for Mike Evans and you know what that means. Even prior to this news a football prognosticator who has picked the last 6 Super Bowl winners made his selection for 2024 - KC Chiefs.

He's young, he would sign for the most money.
I think Colts will tag him so doubt we will find out.
The Colts GM had never used it but Pittman has stated this offseason that he would be willing to accept the franchise tag if it led to a contract extension. So, if the Colts want to sign him long term, they will tag him and work out a deal.
