The cuts continued on Friday afternoon on the defensive side of the ball, with James Ihedigbo being released earlier in the day and now Sergio Brown is reportedly the latest player looking for work as the team continues working toward getting down to the mandatory 53-man roster limit by the end of the evening.
Brown Tweeted a little while ago and passed along his own farewell message to fans, with ESPN Boston.com confirming that he's been notified of his release.
That now leaves veterans Patrick Chung, Steve Gregory, along with this year's draftees 2nd round pick Tavon Wilson and 6th round pick Nate Ebner rounding out the current safety depth chart.
Brown played in 15 games last season with 3 starts, and finished with 37 tackles (28 solo and 9 assisted) along with one interception and a pass defensed.
