Will someone please post a link to the offense and defensive reps.

There were some interesting players choices on Sunday.

As someone posted, Simon played a lot.

Harmon played almost not at all.

Crossen had a couple of poor plays. I'm not sure how he played, but any playing time seems strange.

Hogan seems to have moved ahead of Dorsett in the pecking order.

Edelman and Hogan have been our WR1 and WR2. Nothing changed there. Hogan has always received more than Dorsett.

Last week vs LA, Hogan received twice as many reps (92%) as Dorsett (46%).

This week, it was the same with Hogan receiving 74%, and Dorsett receiving 37%.

Perhaps a better discussion can ensue now.. these are virtually the same numbers that occurred when the Pats played against the high flyin' Falcons in SB LI.. a trend??? Except the O hit about 100 in that game.. note both of these charts are from Mike Reiss Twitter Acc't.

Offensive snaps.. Guess what was ailing Gronk is now cured, and Edelman has completely recovered..

Actually, on Sunday, NE ran the most offensive plays of any team since 2001 with 97. I think the SB vs ATL was close, though. I want to say 94.

Is this the reason Michel sat out at the end? Was he and White on a snap-count? Michel had 34 snaps and White 33 snaps and Burkhead was fresh so he was finishing the game? And ended up at 30 snaps.

Just curious why Burkhead got so many snaps near the end. Clearly it was the right call to get fresh legs in there. Their D was gassed.

I get 93 in SB LI.. but thought I remembered 100, for some reason..... can't find my source..

Without regard the plan Sunday was essentially the same framework as what happened in Superbowl LI.. keep the ball away from Ryan and now keep it out of the hands of Mahomes..

Minor injury, part of the game plan, gassed?? Or (F.) all of the above.. Burkhead is a good pass catcher as well, not James White good but ok.. Defensive scheming was a challenge for a team that the Pats wore down...

You’re thinking of 99 reps that was whittled down to 93 plays due to penalties in SB51, so you’re on to something.

I’m this case, it was 97 reps whittled down to 94 plays due to penalties, so the actual number of plays was higher. According to PFT, this number hasn’t been reached since week 14 in the 2002 season. Steelers/expansion Texans.

I think Kontra brought it up during the week but the nature of Tyreek Hill’s route tree could lead to a CB getting gassed with a heavy man coverage game plan. Crossen’s 8 snaps could have been about giving Jones a breather.

Belichick said it without saying it. You defend speed with speed. Harmon didn't fit that bill against the fastest/quickest WR in the game today, so he rode the pine while DMac roamed the depths and speed CBs (not necessarily the same as good CBs) took the field.

As for Dorsett's snap count and limited targeting, I still don't get that one. But, admittedly, I might have a better handle on it if I bothered to re-watch games the way I used to. On the other hand, that one seems to be baffling ex-players and other media members, so at least I'm not alone in the land of confusion.

Lastly, regarding Clayborn, isn't he the one who went too far upfield and left open a huge gain on a screen to the left?

Kc only ran the ball 10 plays.. their own fault their defense got gassed. No jets sweeps and such by kc.. didn't seem too creative.. was Hill lined up as a Rb ever?

I'm astonished we got away with our 3 d tackles playing mid 30percentent of snaps. Harmon got pushed down the depth chart.

They tried running the ball in the first half. The result was a 14-0 deficit.

It helped them overcome a 14-0 deficit and come within an offsides call of winning the game.
Are we going in circles? The point is scoring so quickly left their defense out to dry... You run for many reasons to gain yardage.. to score.. to preserve your qb.. slow down the pass rush even if you gain 2 yards. They committed to run 10 times. Be the finesse team and that's what you get. Last yr the pats couldn't stop the run in the Superbowl. Kc did them a favor
