Looks like another WR swing and miss but it’s still early

IDK, I think he had the best no catch game I have ever seen in a preseason game last Friday. He would have had at least two TDs in that game if he had a QB who could have gotten the ball within five yards of where it was supposed to be.

He's not BS'ing. We saw him get open in last game on more than one occasion.

Edit: there was also an obvious pass interference in that game that wasn't called.

The guy has shown he has the potential to be elite if he can pull it all together. The guy is a guy who can get open and wide open. He needs to work on his hands and probably other things that McDaniels and Vrabel know about that we might not.

There are guys who can get wide open and just never pull it together and never become anything more than a role players in the NFL. Too early to give up on Williams and believe he is one of those guys.

There is a chance for this year, he might start the season in the 2007 Donte Stallworth role. Stallworth would catch one or two balls a game, but get 20-30 yards a catch a lot of the time. And then given more responsibility as he proves his worth.

I think nobody is giving up on him, it's just that we are not putting him on a pedestal and expectations are generally low for him . You can consider that we are a bit pessimistic about how he might turn out considering recency bias .

Since he is a 3rd rounder , it's a bonus if he turns out to be a good contributor . Nobody is gonna be berating him like nkeal, Thornton or Polk. So from that angle, williams should consider himself lucky from a fan expectations point of view.

Agree that Dobbs is not doing him any favors. Bad throws, all. I’m mostly concerned that I’m not hearing any camp hype and feels like Deja Vu.
