PatsFan1 says you need to stop kicking chairs and throwing tables. I think PatsFan1 is right.
You still think we are the same person's... can't slip nothing by you One-if.

That’s my bigger concern, so I’m glad he’s showing that. Drops can be a killer, though.
As long he doesn't do it in the real games consistently.

Seems like he’s open a lot which is a good thing but he’s either being overthrown or he’s dropping it, key is he seems to be getting open.

Williams should follow Drake around everywhere like Edelman did with Brady. Get on the same page mentally and build chemistry on the field.

So what’s the read here? Reading some moderately concerning reports from practice about his hands. Largely still good things about his ability to separate. What’s his camp looking like compared to past drafted receivers?

That pit in my stomach that comes from a missed WR pick is starting to show up again. Which is far too premature, but also a natural reflex given our draft record.
Really hope KW starts silencing his critics Today.

Williams and his drops are already a trend in the preseason, which was his biggest knock coming out of college. Based on the Patriots track record of drafting WRs I'm writing him off mentally. If he ends up being a player then I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Wolf/Groh should not still be employed.

"all of the good draft picks were made by Bill. all of the bad draft picks were made by Wolf, Mac Jones and Robert Kraft. including this year!"
Wozzy

Based on how things went at the joint practice yesterday it sounds like he needs to work more with Maye. Seems like they weren't on the same page most of the time.

And you are a second total clown. They are not even out of training camp and you are posting this crap.

Seems like a chemistry issue, maybe he will not be featured a lot in the first half of the season, since I expect the offense to go through some growing pains and Drake making use of his security blankets more, the TE's, Pop and hopefully Diggs since they are connecting well, also emphasys on the running game and dink and dunk using the RBs.

If the Oline gels together, if things go well first half of the season and Drake feels comfortable, I can see Josh opening more the toolbox and exploring more exotic plays, taking more risks. First half of the season it's all about sound, fundamental , mistake free football, defense playing a big part on our wins. This team needs to clean out the stink of a losing miserable team.

Thing with WRs is you have to think of roles. You got the quick get open in 2 seconds guy, Pop. He's gonna catch a ton of passes for short to medium yards but not many TDs. (80 catches 600ish yards) Then you have your all around short, medium, and occasionally deep if the defense overplays the shorter stuff, that's Diggs (60 catches 800 yards 8 TD). Then you need a guy who gets you the 20 yard ins and can get behind the defense given enough time. They don't catch as many balls but it's the big plays that add up (40 catches 600 yards 6 TD) Eventually I see Williams being that guy but not for the first half to 3/4 of the year depending on how long it takes him to adjust and get up to speed. So we need that guy for the start of the year and that's Boutte who I consider a lock. After that you need depth and guys who can fill in those roles if somebody goes down. We have two taller big targets in the TEs but both of them are older so I would want to make sure you have a third one just in case making Hollins a lock IMO.

That leaves a 6th spot that could be a PS player until the injury happens and they need to be called up. I'd want both chism and Baker but there just isn't the roster spots. I think we forget just how many 5'10 to 6'2 guys with NFL speed are out there in the league. Every single team has 2-3 Polk, Bourne, Chism, and Bakers of their own the fans are mentally masterbating over somehow keeping on their roster. I think any of the 4 would be totally safe going to the PS for the first 4-6 weeks. After that injuries will happen and they might be poached but if they do it's not a huge loss. If one of our guys goes down great call up the back up on the PS and see what you have. No Patriot injuries, even better your top guys are still getting reps. I think that it where Chism has more value then Baker or Bourne, he's the only one that can fill Pops role where as Boutte, Hollins, Baker, Bourne, and Polk can fill in for Diggs for a game or two if needed.

It just sounds crazy to me for a team that should be running the ball more then they pass to keep 6 or heaven forbid 7 WRs.

I'd suggest for the most part Maye and Dobbie are focused on learning the playbook and McD's system QB expectations and not able to keep up with KWs speed yet at the same time. Give it time and they'll jell better.
