Diggs has underrated athletic ability.. he wins his routes, slips behind defenses on 3rd downs, has great hands and he has the mentality you need to play wr at an elite level.

Diggs did an amazing job rehabbing after his ACL. It bodes well for his next few years not being a dramatic physical decline.

Yes however Efton is a slot guy he gets his catches in volume.. Williams game is speed, winning off the line and getting behind the defense.. he will be integrated into game plans.. trust and believe it. Watch out for the Henderson and Williams formations against aggressive defenses.

And Diggs and Boutte are not in the slot and have "volume". Look I want Williams to succeed...but he's obviously struggling. He's a rookie...they all don't get it at the same time.

but he isn't winning routes, or making plays at 32 years old coming off an acl by being faster, stronger or quicker than his defender. he is making plays by being smarter and more experienced

Diggs moves all over the formation..he's not a "slot" wr he's a guy who can like up every where.. we haven't had a wr does that since jules.. Williams is fine.. I wouldn't say he's struggling at all. He's a rookie he has his rookie adaptations just like Campbell and others.. but I feel what you're saying..

Williams had a better day today. Not perfect, but solid. It was a step in the right direction after a very forgettable week.

We need to remember Williams was doing very well in camp until just a few days before the first joint practice. Then suddenly it was bad day after bad day. So maybe a 8-9 day bad stretch. He broke it today. We know he can be better than that stretch, he was before.

If he builds on today with a good preseason game, i think we will all be feeling a lot better about him.

Iirc after this season it won’t cost them much at all if they release him. The cap hit isn’t the issue, dead money would be.
