Dunno...name me a QB in NFL history who looked terrible in one season...only to turn it around? I can't think of one right now. Look at Mahomes....you knew he was gonna be great based on one start his rookie year... same with Brady his first year as a starter even when he threw 4 interceptions in Denver...you felt like you had something there to build on. I think a player either has "it" or doesn't....it is that simple and we should know what Stidham has after this season....if he starts.
I am not sure you understood what I was saying.
My point was the only thing we can know for certain after the season is that he might NOT be the guy if he performs badly. Even if he has a relatively good season this doesn't necessarily mean he is a franchise QB. For that he needs to show consistency and continuous growth for a couple seasons.
The probability that he completely blows the roof off like Mahomes is pretty low.
