Kraft Orchids Case - Prosecuters Want a Tug Rule?

That's an article in the CBA between the players union and the league. It wouldn't apply in this case. I don't know the NFL bylaws to say with any authority of whether there's a morality clause or whatever for ownership, but given the sorts of people who own NFL teams, I strongly doubt it.

Yeah Article IX of the bylaws covers conduct detrimental to the league, but most of it involves financial relationships for owners and tampering and such. No mention of a morality clause or criminal behavior by ownership.

Also doing this is conduct detrimental to the league, the more you know:

Dispense beer or other beverage in NFL stadia except by pouring into cups;

if some how Goondell docks us a draft pick under Article 46, Kraft needs to go ASAP

So there’s video of him soliciting?

Watching that would probably feel like having an open casket at a funeral...while it may be tough to look at, it can sometimes provide some closure.

I don't know enough to speculate on this.
Yea who knows. He's an educated man but to assume he knew the staff was in some kind of sex slave trade or were forced to service the clients and engaged anyway is tough to prove in court.

I bet he had no idea.

I bet he had no idea.

Also wouldn't matter in court. He was paying for services, not entering into an employment relationship with them.

Damm it. Pats may be screwd.
Screwed in what way? Bad press stemming from a bad decision by their owner? What else could happen? They may suspend Kraft for a handful of games?

Guess life as a Pats fan would be boring if there wasn't something in the news about the team....lol

He probably thinks we lose all our draft picks for the next 12-15 years.

I agree, somewhat...but, it is just bad that he was soliciting sex from slaves..even if he didn't know...he is supporting the business model.

We are supporting business models we are unaware of.....I agree it is a bad look for him

Guys.

Roger isnt taking a draft pick from the Pat's over Kraft being charged with a misdemeanor.

Irsay is the precedent.

most of these “massage parlor” places have traffiked victims. and most porn you see on the internet are of traffiked women. people don’t know how serious sex trafficking is.

************, Bob. This is so dumb. A billionaire paying for sex is so stupid.

Amen and I'd add billionaires paying for cheap sex, e.g., at a "massage parlor" is extremely stupid.

My God, if I had his money, I'd only pay for top of the line, cream of the crop independent contractors.. the kind that have only 2-3 clients a year and enjoy what they're doing, not enslaved girls who were falsely promised a job and citizenship.

This is 100% on Bob, and let's all say goodbye to our first round pick. Goodell will figure out a way to make us lose it.

Bob Irsay

He will step into the background now and Jonathan will run the Pats at least Irsay could claim addiction and rehab as a way of being able to continue running his team, there's no real rehab for soliciting prostitution.
Sex addiction

Okay so big disclaimer for all the people semi-seriously worried about the Patriots facing penalties

1) Article 46 is part of the CBA between the NFLPA and the NFL and does not apply in this case

2) Article IX of the NFL bylaws covers conduct detrimental to the league and contains no morality clauses or sanctions for criminal charges against a franchise owner, probably for two reasons:

a) NFL owners are billionaire assholes and know they have skeletons in their closets (to which this is very minor in comparison) and

b) the owner of the Green Bay Packers is like 10,000 people, including me and probably several posters on this board who paid for novelty shares during the last stock offer, which would make policing the action of owners in the bylaws impossible (as opposed to policing the conduct of the franchise, since the Packers are run by an executive board elected by ownership)

There is no mechanism by which the NFL could penalize the Patriots for this. On the other hand, if Gillette Stadium served beer in a can instead of a cup, they could dock them a draft pick!
