I think we need one. His miss was an enormous play in that game.
Our coach also appears to have very little faith in him. The end of the game was bizzare. Always take the 3 there, because it keeps the hail mary in order. But more important, why go for it on 4th and 2 at the 35 in a zero zero game? If you're prepared to turn the ball over on downs, why not at least take a shot at the 3 points. Heck, even if you scrap out a first down there, you're probably left with a long kick anyway after the next series or two.
Punting there isn't a bad play either, but between going for it and kicking an FG, kicking is the better play, even if you only have a 40 percent chance of making the 52 yarder. And if you don't have confidence that your kicker gives you at least, you need a new kicker.
I feel like we lost tonight in all 4 areas -- offense, defense, special teams, and coaching.
