tanked, your stance on Pierre Woods seems to completely contradict what you have in your signature.

I just don't think woods is much good...........he's been here awhile and has not made much of an impact........I didn't think he was that productive while he was out there last year.......the pats will need to do better than woods if they want to be successful defensively

Woods is a good depth guy to have on the team. He is not a starter. He is there for special teams play and to step in when starters in front of him are injured. Last year, he played in 12 games (very limited time) and was forced to start 3 because of injuries. He recorded 35 tackles (25 solo), and 1 sack. Not bad for a depth guy if you ask me. If all goes as planned this year, we should need him even less relegating his duties to mostly special teams. In other words, I'm not sure what you have a problem with.

FFS. Fantasy Football Syndrome.

Every player on your team, even backups, must be of above average starting quality, and the best team is the one with the best individual players.

Nobody really knows what O'Connell can do, but he does possess something that Brady does not have, and proved to be a great help to Cassel, the ability to run out of the pocket and pick up significant yardage. I think that this is a triat that you should look for in a backup QB. As IF he gets in, the other team will surely be blitzing the hell out of him and the ability to scramble out and make some yards is key.

If you watch last years games, teams were doubling Moss and sometimes Welker too and covering everyone else man on man. This led to huge running lanes for Cassel which he took advantage of. O'Connell is even faster than Cassel (he ran a 4.61 40 at the combine).

I think that the Pats will go with O'Connell as the back-up, and depending if they grab Pat White in the later rounds, stick with Gutz as the 3rd QB.

you can find bodies like this without paying 1.4M.......I have no problem with him........also, if he's going to wind up primarily a special teamer, I'd rather give the spot to someone who shows more promise
