Player Signing Kendrick Bourne Officially a Patriot

You still have to get the ball to an open receiver even if the defense sucks. He had a much better throwing motion the first 2 games. Then it all fell apart on him. I'm not sure why, maybe lack of rotation in his shoulder from an injury. But he was accurate at most levels of the field those first couple of games.

You could see he stopped throwing from the hip after that. He wasn't getting the same rotational torque from his body. When he throws the football like a baseball, his accuracy sucks. Whereas someone like Mahommes excels at that.
When the defense sucks even a crappy qb looks good. That’s the point, he wasn’t any better early he just had it easier. He still only had 7 points on the board after 3 quarters.
Im not interested in making excuse for why a 10 year veteran can’t figure out how to throw the football.

Suck it up buttercup, Cam is your WK 1 starter.

Harry has absolutely zero role.
If he isn't traded, Harry will have yet another opportunity given his draft status to take over the #1 WR role as that is what Bill/Josh really want. However, given his attitude, that will most likely won't happen.

Agree. Harry can't get open. This won't magically fix itself in season 3. They force feed plays to him and he only averages 8 yards a catch and a 55% catch rate. Playing him deprives a better teammate from being on the field.

cornerbacks stick to Harry like elmers glue

“work ethic & energy”

nothing about speed, athleticism, hands, route running, contested catches, acceleration, etc

The good news is when you see the kid on tape he's a route technician, extremely quick and knows how to get open. He's a red zone magnet for TDs, 3rd downs, and also has great hands. I think he's a better Amendola.

You're a glass half empty kind of guy

A better amendola LOL

Amendola may be the most clutch Wr in patriots history. Get out of here with that

“When New England came with a lucrative deal on the first day of the tampering period, Bourne was excited but waited out the Jets, just in case,” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote. “An offer never came, even though LaFleur is a huge Bourne fan.”

I wonder if Bill thought the Jet were going after this kid and decided to "buy" him. Sounds like a similar offer by NYJ would've sent him to NY.

Oh, that's a good comparison. For all the talk about slow receivers, Amendola is the poster child of too slow, too small, too unathletic -- yet he had some of the best routes and most clutch catches I can remember in the last decade.

First four years in the league:

Hmm . . . I think I'd rather have the second guy. Did more with considerably fewer targets. Obviously, numbers don't tell the full story, but Bourne looks really good on tape. Very quick and decisive, can separate, offers YAC, reliable target, etc.

For that to be the case, BB would have to sweeten his initial offer. Without having full context I’m under the impression that BB didn’t have to do anything extra because the Jets didn’t show interest. Now I’m very curious. Did Bourne reach out to the Jets first, and if so, did they say “not interested”? Or did Bourne sit by the phone and wait for a call that never came? Were the Jets his top preference, or was he only interested in a bidding war? I suppose none of it matters since he’s with the Pats now.

LOL at Chatham’s fan boy club trying to defend BB’s ability to pick WRs

Bourne a JAG for 7 million per year

Bourne a JAG for 7 million per year

Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong and/or flat out making sh*t up?

If Bourne plays every game over the next three seasons, he gets $15 million. The remaining $7.5 million is tied to incentives and escalators. His cap number this year is $3.17 million.

Update: You are still one of the worst posters on this site, an impressive feat indeed.

another recruited member to the Chatham/BB worshippers club.

throwing big money at Bourne and Agholor was a big mistake with Kenny Galliday out there.
