Patriots Player Departure Keion White traded

That one doesn't ring a bell. Haven't been to Waterbury in about a decade but last time I was there it had gone down hill pretty sharply from an already bad spot.
A quick Google Maps search suggests it's no longer there, which is a step in the right direction.

OTOH Mr Happy's still is. I know because I have to drive past it when visiting relatives in the area. It looks like the same place it's been for at least 20 years now.

Not a bad haul when you compare what they got for Cole Strange.
Speaking of Cole, has he been doing anything this season. Is he even on a roster?

He’s on Miami’s roster.

How much of Dugger's cap hit did we eat. Perhaps I missed it.

I actually agree with this. He's better than Abdul Carter though.

I haven't seen much of the Giants this year but Thibodeaux has never impressed me. I didn't realize Carter was playing poorly.

Giants fans are coping, but he's been an abject bust for the #3 overall pick. You'd expect more than one half sack.

Wow, that's a rough start. The Campbell pick just keeps looking better and better. I think the Patriots have a franchise LT for much of Maye's career.

It's also why I don't think Thibedoux is necessarily on the market like everyone thought.

Source please.

It was widely reported that Cleveland offered Bill their 1st for him. Other teams might've joined in the bidding war had there been one, but Billy preferred to do SF a solid rather than do what's best for the t-e-a-m, again.

I don't think we know completely yet. With guarantees, per game, and workout bonuses the 2025 cap hit for this year was ~$15.3m.

The team is paying Pitt a good chunk of his to-be-earned remaining salary. The exacts have not been published.

Pats Pulpit said the team is saving $5.8m but they admitted it was speculation.

Ummm... He could indeed have been.
It looks like he could've been traded for more. After going back in time and reading what happened, here's what I think went down:

The reason why Bill didn't trade Jimmy G when he was in high demand was he did want Jimmy G as the future QB. In fact, they repeatedly offered him contracts worth $18M per season which Jimmy kept rejecting. Tom got wind of it and had a meeting with Bob sometime in October demanding they trade Jimmy G. Bob then had a meeting with Bill two weeks before the deadline and told Bill he had to get rid of Jimmy G. That was more than enough time for Bill to field offers. The only explanation why he traded him to SF was because he trusted Kyle Shanahan that this would get done. However, it's unclear why he waited until the last minute. Cleveland later came out and said they were prepared to offer a lot more.

If you can't read the Cleveland.com article. Here's the only part you need to know:

"Truth is: The Browns (and everyone else but San Francisco) never had a chance to discuss a Garoppolo deal.

I know that Brown was willing to part with Houston's first-round pick and other goodies. He would have been willing to help Belichick shop around for a backup quarterback to help the trade work.

The front office was especially baffled because they had made two trades with New England.

On August 25, 2016, they shipped Barkevious Mingo to the Patriots for a 2017 fifth-round pick.

On October 31, 2016, the Patriots traded Jamie Collins to the Browns for a 2017 third-round pick."

Could it be that Bill thought having JG in the NFC not the AFC was worth more than the difference in compensation?

Or is that unthinkable because it would neutralize some steaming vitriol?

It is all BS. Amazed that you are swallowing the "widely reported" BS. Not like you.
